Also, if your box is only 5' tall, you're forgetting about the heighth of the pot, heighth of the lights, and the 12-16 inches that has to be left in between the light and the plants. That leaves you with roughly 2 - 1/2 feet of usable grow space.

Okay am I the only one who has noticed hes going to have 10 Plants in a 3x3x5 Space with a 1000w MH?!?!?! Lets say that temp has no effect, he's vegging for 40 days? I had 3 plants in a 3x4x6 room I vegged for 30 days and it was way way way to crowed! Now lets add the temp issue here, can we say pitts of hell in the tent? I think your going to have temps in excess of 90+! I have a 600w Cooltube with a 6in Fan and 4in Filter, so I have alot of air pushin over that bulb! And I have a difficult time with keepin temps under 80 in the summer! And even in winter my temps are 75 in the room and 65 outside the room.

So in my opinion, rethink your stratagy and come at this at a new angle!
Because IMO with this setup you wont yeild very much, but you'll get a lot of Mildew, Mites, Rot, and Fire.

** Remember this is my Opinion!
I agree with this guy , i have 3 plants in a space that big with a 250w light and i have issues contolling temp and things are a little cramped and im only 4 days into flower after 30 days veg.

Aim to get between 3 to 5/6 ounces per plant indoors. You're only going to get a higher yeild if you're flowering 1/2 per light.

Nutrients help A LOT.
Co2 can increase yields even more also.

Outdoors is a whole different story.

I was under the impression that plants do most of their root growing at "night". if you give them no night, how will the roots provide for these plants that you claim are bigger?

There is no question in my mind 24/0 will out grow 18/6. Have you ever wondered how they grow such huge vegatables in Alaska? Awful short summers. But around the clock light.

you will NEVER pull a LB per plant w/10 plants under (1) 1000w light. NEVER. Just my 2 cents

Sounds like your trying to hard... first of all i would throw 4 under the 1000 in that space... you put 10 in there your gonna have some MAD tangles and it will become a mess... Have fun. Your going to big for your little setup man.. you obviously are new to such a thing if you think you can get a pound per plant in a grow tent. GL

...a good grower will get 1/2 gram per watt of light...a great grower will get anything more then that, 1 gram per watt of light and your a god at this.

Dude,, not gonna happen. Space is too small. Pleeeeese dont veg for 40 days. In that space with 10 plants, veg for 14 max, You need to remember ,indoor plants will usually grow 2 to 3 times there height, hen the light cycle is changed to 12/12. If you veg 23/1 for 40 days, you will end up having to cut them down and start over again, because they will end up growing right into the light, burning and not yielding a thing. If you want a pound a plant you need to get out of the closet and into a large bedroom. Even then you will need at least 5 more of those 1000w lights. My professional opinion is veg for 14 days max and hope for a pound total.

He's asking for 10 Lbs from a single 1000w light. Duh. Plus this thread is from APRIL this year, dont you think he's failed by now? Duh. :)
