World Of Hempy

Six days ago in this same thread I showed you a couple of little Cinderella 99's that I actually sprouted in the buckets this time to keep from having to transplant from solo cup hempy's. Here they are..17days from seed....the explosion has begun....full nutes and res fills for the last 4 days. What difference 6 days makes with this hempy method....it still amazes me after so many hempy grows now.

My CH9 "Cluster" (2g coco hempy) shown earlier in this thread was taken down this weekend....impressive hunk of honey for a 2g container. I was cleaning out the bucket later and when I tipped the bucket upside down to get the root mass out I noticed that there were no real roots down in the perlite res....the chunky #3 perlite just whisked away from the bottom coco "slug" formed by the bucket...some fine hair roots had reached the sides of the bucket and moved to the bottom but nothing like I've seen in those 2L pop bottles you see here on RIU. I'm freaking...as a matter of fact the roots near the bucket sides were not circling or very dense. They must have been really "happy" in the coco is all I can say...tell me about your bucket-res roots please.

Are you complaining about your results??? lol...nah...Awesome Hempy grow you got there.

As long there are feeder roots in res then no probs...If you want more roots then let res dry out some so the feeders dig deeper in res.Keep in mind this is redundant, and puts the health of your plant at risk if let completely dry out.

The Cluster was vegged ~3weeks. When they start out fat and bushy I go ahead and toss them into 12/12 without topping or LST.

Oh no complaints at all, I just think it strange that the res had very little roots occupying that space. Those DWC guys....they get the roots down there......seems like we would in hempy. Maybe this strain isn't big on water roots?

Yeah dalek no idea what the mystery is...got the seed out of a bud from a dispensary. Asked them if they knew if it was hermi. They claimed the supplier breeds and they had never seen hermie traits on the same cut the bud came from. Been watching it for hermi anyway. FANTASTIC smell but guessing less than an oz off the 24 inch plant.

I have so many fans in my little 4x4 tent that it wants to take off. Just started running a 750 watt jeater in dark cycle it drops humidity from 50-55% to about 35. I worry though that temps staying within 5 degrees lights on/off may affect my buds though. I always run 10-15 degrees change.
I just read an article released by oxford university's biology department regarding day and night temperature differential and stem elongation in various species of plants. They said both higher day temps and lower night temps contributed to stem stretching. For example, let's say a plant grows ideally at 75*F. If the day and night temps are 75* the plant will grow optimally with minimum stretching given all other factors are ideal. The stretching is directly correlated to the difference in day and night temps, called DIF. So you would expect to see the same amount of stretch in the same plant grown at: Day temps 85* night temps 75*, day temps 75* night temps 65*, and day temps 80* night temps 70*. In all three situations the DIF is 10* so the stretch should be equal.

Here's a link to the article if your interested

@ Rocket

Under my first 2 hoods I am able to fit 4 tubs; Each tub has 21 hempys.

You'll see to the left I have an as yet unused Magnum setup with its own CF and fan. I have a 600W Lumatek for that too.

... Because Magnums are larger than the average hood a 1000W ballast would work well under them. However a very efficient ventilation system would be required, especially with more than 1 linked together. IMHO, unless one has a lot of space its best to run @ 600W.

Thanks for sharing your room. I don't know if an old man like myself could crawl in and out of there all the time though.
It makes it very apparent for your need and like of short, fat girls.
Here's a post I made of my GrowRoom

TBH Its a bit of a joke WattSaver. .. but all the same I'm very lucky for having the space. :weed:

I have to drop down a little hatch to enter. ... The 'room' was covered in 2.5ft of dust and dirt. I basically excavated it and covered walls and floors with 'Correx' plastic sheeting. .............. I do like short fat girls but I'm finding that I have more than enough height to grow most strains, it all come down to when one decides to flower (as seen in del's 12-12 thread).

I would like to show my room in full bloom but alas thats another story. ... Its ok, its easier to see whats what in an empty room. LOL.

Edit:
Love your Grow room
Very clean. ... and you don't have to be a dwarf to use it which is a bonus. LOL

The best thing about this Canna sub culture is that ANYONE can turn their hand to it. We're only limited by our ingenuity. .. I'm still waiting to see a prison grow thread!

Lol. Man I'm impatient. My 7 mother plants are barely a month old from seedling and I'm only can take about 75 cuttings. Some of them I will have to do some vegging just to get a good yield out of them because they are not my usual size cuttings that I use to take in my aeroponics grow. Anyways I will be making my cuttings in the next 2-3 weeks. So I'll keep y'all posted. Oh and I recommend no one to grow aeroponic from seedlings and transfer to soil because I just got done doing so and it's a bitch. Trying to free up the roots from the 2" net pots

You could have just planted them with the 2" net pots, as long as your aren't trying to grow trees.

I have not really ever flushed my hempys... I am on Day... I dunno something, but Day 9 of flower now, Wondering if I should do that but haven't really been having any 'problems' here's the last pics I shot of them yesterday. (I totally apologize if this post is considered too much clutter for the thread, copied/pasted from my grow journal)

Dr gribble I see that you are using two different types of light spectrums. What kind
Just standard HPS & MH... Nothing fancy either, what came with my 600W electronic ballasts... that plant in the back under the MH seems to be growing way nicer than everything else too. I doubt that's coincidental :)

Doc, we love all your pics/posts. Please clutter away.:weed:

Amazing Doc, just amazing!

Thanks, first grow in years too... even rusty but having a great time and it's going relatively smoothly for me thankfully.
