World Of Hempy

You dont!! Just another great feature of the Hempy System. I mix my nutes the night before and then just water in the morning. That is my daily routine. As long as your water is pretty much just room temp, then your good to go. Benefits over Hydro -> No Air Pumps, No Water Pumps, No Water Chillers. Just make sure your PPM and PH is in order,, and Water Away!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!!!!
Sounds sweeter all the time. lol
I know the optimal PH is different between DWC, F&D etc. What's optimal PH for Hempy?
So far the babies seem to love their new home.

I let the PH swing from 5.8 - 6.1 -- I noticed that when I sat on 5.8 or 6.0 without movement for a while, I would not necessarily see deficiencies, but I could tell they just were not as Happy. So now I let the chips fall where they may ( as long as they are not too far outside of that range ), and all seems happy with the universe!

Have fun with them!

Thanx for the info..I do same thing with my girls. During the veg cycle I run my PH a lil lower and then during flower I run a lil higher.
I found like you said the girls seem happier if I allow a fluctuation of PH.

ok this ones the update before this, of the soil big buds100_3182.jpg
here's an overview of my 2x 3L re-veg hempy's100_3186.jpg
close up of one of the re-vegged' afghan goo100_3187.jpg
close up of the purps., theses were both bagseeds 100_3190.jpg
another overview, i think the leaves dropping off are because watering frequency isn't being kept up with :( (i'd like input on what yall think it is!)100_3191.jpg

some pics of the big bud.. dying to flower these and see how they are. i got 20 clones ready to veg and get ready for hempy while the soil ones flower100_3193.jpg100_3194.jpg
it's gonna be a happy new year!
hempys are on day 58 or so of flip. I might harvest the shorter one, afghan goo on new years, and the purp a week later cause its a sativa (supposedly takes longer)

only milky trics right now, so i'm giving it full dose nutes ~900 ppm total of 1/2tsp/gal silica, 1/2tsp/gal dyna FP, 5ml/g humboldt honey, 5ml/g calimagic gh
coco gro block with a little perlite mixed in

good to know ya'll go up when flowering you do that i never reallly put it together that potassium is taken in @ 5.8+ so its probably MUCH better to swing the pH on hempies ill do this from now on! thanks everyone

lol now i'm planning on running a few hempy's in with the soil plants, just cause i like updating here!

bring on the new years updates people!!! new buds , new setups, i can't wait to see what people got going for this year lol

i'm transplanting my 3x 4gallon soil big bud seedlings into 15 gallon air pots... these are going under my 400w HPS until i can get the new 600w, then i will switch to flower

i don't think the reveg harvest is gonna be all that great so i'm chopping early, day 59 from flip. probably a total of 1 oz between the 2 plants in 3l' hempys. no big deal cause i wouldn't have had anything to flower anyways..
putting them in the dark for now maybe till 62 or so, just to help her ripen up

this will give me more of a head start on the big bud transplants and mean hopefully a big yield next go

thanks that's a homemade air pot, used recyclable shopping bags; got the idea from hobbes who passed away :(
but anyways he was full of great ideas and the store was outta pots and i wanted to transplant so i made those from old stuff, i actually think i like em more than normal air pots haha

he used 5 gallons and if he didn't want to water as much, he would just put it into a second 5 gallon, restricting air and slowing evaporation from the medium
smart dude lol

Making the switch from F&d to hempy.
So far I have 6 in the hempy buckets, and have to say the ladies love it.
Gonna fade out the f&d as they finish in flower. Gained an extra 18 to 24 in vertical height and can actually move the plants around now.

glad you made the switch hydrogreen

do you have an aerocloner? i used my f&d pump (660gph) to make an aerocloner.

its really nice being able to just take a cut and put it in there, no misting just come back in a week and change the reservoir.
I made my cloner it's own cabinet, once the clones are rooted i tranplant to choiced medium then let them root out in the same chamber till they're good, then they get to go to veg

Thanks for mentioning him. Do you have a link to a thread
where he details this tek? I like to appreciate original sources
to the degree possible. (what is really new anyway?)

cleaned my intake dust filters (2- 6" passive intakes)got a bunch of reflectivix and made an arch going over the light track. This should increase my lighting efficiency a fuck ton!! looks brighter already i might not even need to go 600w, but i'm going to anyways.I have 2x dual bulb 4 foot t5's that i'm going to put along the walls, but that will be after the 600w is added.for now i might use a couple of my 2 footers to supplement light, these 15 gallon pots are fuckin HEAVYbut the big bud's look quite happy in their new, spacious home..the root pruners worked, the root ball was solid and I didn't see any spinout

left to right, i decided to start posting images non-blown up . i dont know if this is annoying but if you click them they should enlarge, i figured it would take up less space.
left pic is showing you how i did an arch-like bend with the reflective bubblewrap, and it goes up to my 4 foot light mover. this is to keep the grow room tighter because there are issues with light movers giving enough all-around lumens when on opposite sides of the room. This is another reason i want to get a 600W!

next one is the 3 ladies who just transplanted.
I wanted to wait to put them under the HPS until they recover from transplant, but the pots are too big to go in the other cabinet. I figured since the HPS is on a mover it shouldn't stress them too much. By the time they get accustomed to the light i should be upgrading to 600

second from the right is a look into the doorway to the grow. it's a roll-up door with velcro to hold it, the negative pressure keeps it shut. you can see the 2 intakes on the floor, there's a fan above where i'm standing going out into the bedroom
i usually have green re-washable filters in the holes but have them out right now to clean, its CRAZY how much dust they take out! clean bi-weekly!

the right picture is a picture of the pack of ceeds; it's big bud from vision ceeds.
planning on taking some ceeds a friend got, love potion, and eventually hunting out a male and cross breeding with these

I already have 20 clones taken and plan to scatter these around in the flowering cab once they're established enough. Only half might go in; and keep the other half for bigger hempies or mothers

almost forgot to mention those pots are all suspended about 1' off the ground, above a drip tray . the floor air rushes by the air pots, making the roots get extra air.
also no need to worry about water runoff now, this is going to make watering so much less of a hassle!

Oh, but I needed to do something like that...

I chose to use giant saucers which are working.

I am still open to putting my tent on a platform, allowing
for drain/waste to be collected.

i have an e-book that he wrote, not a published book but a collection of his work; very good stuff. He used super soil air pots though; i plan to adapt this to hempy. I think the possibilities are greater with hempy's cause its hydro, and the materials are easy to get ahold of.
his main goal was to produce a handicap type system (easy access) that produced like a vertical setup. i'm pretty sure he hit 2 GPW mark, but it's hard to gauge GPW because of veg time.
hobbes had the best overall intentions and it's too bad he's gone, but hopefully his experiment will live on, he was very ambitious about spreading knowledge and working in groups to solve an ultimate problem; hunger.

he figured if he can hit high numbers with weed, 3rd world countries could use our ideas to get high yielding indoor gardens, and bring sustainability to places that need it

send me your email and ill send you his e-book, i wish i could post it up somewhere. His thread was deleted (big thread) and there was so much good shit on there; luckily it's all backed up in his e-book
he has some out-dated info on his e-book that he goes over and may confuse you, just be aware he was approaching death when he was getting really good at it

he was a guy who used normal household stuff to make an extraordinary grow op, i wish more people knew about him, i considered him an idol of sorts, like everyone here is to me

just also wanted to say thanks everyone for the inspiration and sharing your experiences!

as for hempies JD, i can't really think of a good way to do a hempy air floor... without getting water everywhere. I was visioning some sort of bucket with a bunch of fins coming up. the fins would space the buckets off the floor of the drain table and still allow air through, it's the best idea i can come up with. other than that im still having a hard time getting a good , simple idea
i will blow your minds once i do though; i was on the CUSP of figuring out a sick one , but the idea is on the backburner for a while. this approach is much more KISS and will get into the tweaking once i get a few good harvests..
i've resorted to asking a buddy for a slice; which i will return to him once i harvest my re-vegged hempys

really hoping for a big yield off the big buds!

also anyone who want's hobbes e-book PM me with an email or maybe we could make a thread that allows you to download it; i just don't know how to do it (maybe someone can help

Ok so here is the final picture for now.
put the oscillating fan back in, they are looking happy for just being transplanted, I was super careful! These are the biggest plant's i've grown so far and i plan on getting them to around 2.5 feet tall by the end of flower. Usually i'd do 1- 1.5 foot tall plants.
that is orange on my plant from the hps , not yellowing !
wierd that the HPS isn't putting off lines, does this have to do with it being a 430w hortilux eye?

I took the 4 foot fixture and put it in there, even though it had the stock bulbs in it, you see it on the left.
on the right i did two 2 foot fixtures, with my high output veg bulbs in it. I have a second 4 foot t5 fixture but smashed both bulbs on accident so i figured this will be fine for now.
i might even use the 2 foot fixtures on the short side of the walls so that there are t5's all the way around :-P
as said earlier, i'll eventually get high output bulbs for the t5's.
while putting the 2 footers on the piece of wood, i smashed a bulb >:(
remember when building it doesn't hurt to put light bulbs an extra foot away from the couch ! you don't wanna drop shit on it and smash your 10$ bulb!
speaking of bulbs, where does everyone here do their bulb shopping?!

And there's only one tent....so like a week and a half for the Reggie's and like 3 1/2 weeks for the autos, I, ah, sorta tormented them with confusion and lack of light! Lol oh well. GO HEMPYYYYYYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yes...I am sorry for the ultra shitty red rayed up cellular telephone photographs...its all I got.. Welllll not really...I'm jus lazy ;) lol...sorry again..
