What is your favorite transplanting method, from solo cup to it’s next container?
You can germinate in water and plant directly into your bucket.
Skip the cup.
Never tried transplanting but I'd guess take your time and uncover the root slowly like an archeologist :)

How long did it take for the roots to hit bottom and give a sprout?
About 1 1/2-2 weeks you have to hand water.
After that, they explode.
Link to my journal is in my signature if you want to check out my method.
Normally in water, germed and in its bucket in 24-36hrs.

how do you know how much to water? Watering confuses me, how would I judge how much to prepare in advance, mixing nutes and PHing...

if someone ever took a clip of fertegating a hempy after transplant that’d be cool.

I always get them going in a solo cup. The hole is about 1 inch from the bottom 1/4" round hole. I grow in perlite so I transplant it into a new container just like soil. If you don't have a solid root ball the perlite will fall away from the roots fairly easy. I don't mess with the expose roots just let them sit in the new container and fill with your medium. A slight packing if needed for stability. Water down like it was a normal potted plant till you see some run off coming out the hole. Once a day should be good until the plant starts to grow. If your using vermiculite mixed in you don't have to water as much.

Almost starting to feel bad for those still stuck in soil...almost :fire:

Looking good there smoke. I just upgraded one of my two lights to 1000w. The colas are larger than I've grown before by 30-40% and they're rock hard. If you squeeze a flower there is absolutely no "squeeze" that happens. They're just rock hard, particularly the ones directly under the 1000w.

I'm going to run through the summer with the 1000 and 600, but after this summer grow I'll be upgrading the 600 to a 1000. After seeing how much larger the colas grow and how much more dense the flowers are I believe 600's to be a waste of time unless heat is a problem. Go 1000 or go home!

Smoke, I'm looking forward to hearing what your total dry yield is when it's all over. I can't for the life of me think about growing in soil again. Perlite hempy buckets are just too darn easy and reliable in their performance. I'm hoping to crack the 1.5# mark on my current flower cycle, and by the looks of the cola sizes I just might hit 2#. It's all about the light man. Keep rocking it dude!

I have had this same feeling. Hempy has tons of benefits.

I do however want to run some living soil at some point just to compare some flavor profiles. I have no doubt that soil can change the taste of the cuts I run in perlite. I am curious about using some hydro type sweeteners in my hempy buckets to round out the experience.

Agreed.
1000w is the way to go. Running 2 and a 315 cmh in the flower. Like you said, rock hard nugs.
Plants are all spaced a few weeks apart, but the goal is to get at least 10 oz per plant. 8 plants in perpetual flower. So, if all goes as planned I'll be very pleased indeed.

Thanks for the kind words and best of luck!
