Worst root rot problem in history

I have been doing hydro for a few years. About a year ago I started getting a bit of rot in my DWC system. Each crop I would lose a plant or two. I had three small systems. 1 dwc, 1 homemade ebb and gro type and 1 low pressure aero. I was using 1 ml per gallon H2O2 in that system.

The rot destroyed three crops in a row in my DWC, never got past the vegetative stage in either. No matter what I would do, roots would brown and die and the plants would not grow. I used hydrogen peroxide and bleach. No matter it always came back. It had also spread to my aero and ebb and flow systems. All growth stopped in every room. I would bleach the systems out and refill and it was back in a few days.

I tore everything out and threw everything away. I bleached my basement from top to bottom. I got rid of the DWC as it seemed to be the source of the problem. I rebuilt everything. I have another homemade ebb and gro system. A small ebb and flow table. A low pressure aero setup. The ebb and flow table (where I wanted to vegetate) got rot. I tore it out.

I am now using 2 ml per gallon 35% h2o2 every day and it seems to be holding it off, but I am deathly afraid of the rot coming back. Here is my question:

How much hydrogen peroxide can I use safely EVERY DAY? The 2 ml per gallons seems to be tolerable, the roots stay nice and white SO FAR, but I want to use more if possible.

I am a medical marijuana patient and I need the medication for nausea, pain and sleep. I have barely grown any in the last year because of this problem and i have spent a small fortune rebuilding everything and cleaning, etc. Someone please give me a bulletproof way to deal with this pythium problem. I have thought of using benefitial microbes, but I am afraid it would just be another expensive mess and plants in the dumpster. I need something that cannot fail

I have read on this site for a long time and Al B Fuct says he uses 4 ml of 50% H2O2 per gallon every three or four days. 50% is STRONG SHIT. This is the equivelant of about 6 ml per gallon of the 35% every few days. This is how I came up with the 2 ml per day number. Can I use 3 ml per gallon per day and still not harm the roots?

What about coco? How common is root rot growing in coco? I am thinking of starting a coco grow. Someone please help.

ive heard people run 1 tbsp of clorox per 5 gallons with good success
beneficials are great they will work better

Pretty simple fix quit using H2o2. Go buy some dutch mast zone and read the directions on there website because the full instructions are not on the bottle. Apply dutch master zone at max strength. root rot will be gone. Oh and you don't have to keep adding dutch master zone everyday I would just add it to any fresh water I put in. I found with DM zone I could ward off root rot even with 74 degree res temps.

I think it would be helpful to know the overall conditions of your reservoir fluid before I advise for or against any further h202 dosing. Your rot problem could be a temperature issue or a shortage of oxygen issue that can be corrected without a drop of h202. Also, you're giving it a dangerous concentration already. I'm surprised you haven't seen any wilt yet with the amount you're giving them.

Massive dosing of h202 is not a replacement for actual dissolved oxygen in the water.

Maybe the problem is with your water supply. I can only suggest going RO water with a pinch of ash and a pinch of dolomite lime to balance against each other. This will increase the co2 levels in the bed. If your ebb and flow follows F&D rules every watering changes the air in your table. F&D is really no good for veg. I use a wide trough with drip feeders on timers to feed my moms.

I seem to have a particularly bad strain of pythium. In my DWC I was running a 110 liter per minute pump with one 10 inch flat air stone per 10 gallon tub. So much aeration the water looked like it was boiling. Did not matter. The roots would grow to a few inches long then turn brown. The plant would then stop growing and start getting sickly. This happened during vegetative three crops in a row. I did dips in chlorox water but nothing seemed to stop it once symptoms started. Oxygen delivery was definately not the problem. I had hyper circulation. My tubs were connected together with 1.5 inch PVC with 400 gallon per hour undercurrent circulation.

I am at a loss as to how to stop it or kill it off.
 
I went and talked to a hydro guy today. He is researching it for me. He said I can use up to 10 ml per gallon per day of 35% h2O2 if I have to. That sounds a little excessive to me (OK, more than a little). I have heard of folks using 5 ml per gallon a day for sick systems. Im at 2 ml now. He said I may want to run beneficials, but I am hesitant to put funk in my system right now.

I bought everything for a coco drip today, I need to crop my meds are running low. Bought three bricks of fiber and drip stuff. I will run a coco system off to the side while I see if my other new systems stay clean.

I picked up four OG Kush cuttings rooted in Coco for that purpose from the cannabis farmers market. Will run them coco, gonna go set it up now.

First off..... H202 (does not kill bactiria!) it just keeps it at bay under good conditions.
if your yes is to warm h202 will not control it, what you need to do is get yourself some
stuff to brew tea and never look back at h202.

next what kind of nutes/sups are you using? Please list each

Base nutes only. A little H202. I only use synthetic nutes.

Hellraizer knows what he's talking about.

I would just proceed with caution with that h202 stuff. I administered right around 5ml per gallon of 29% once and it caused wilt. I lost a few tops.
