i really enjoyed my Jack the Ripper last year - i'm sorry yours didn't work out..
i have one to add to the list Black Label: Master Kush cannot be grown outdoors in most places because it goes way too long and the buds are the worst pot i have had in a long time - perhaps partly because they had snow on them by the end of their budding.. but, the buds were nasty and scraggly, besides being frozen..
jack the ripper is a good strain. grew it a while. crossed it with a bagseed, i call it bastard jack. my master kush is a great strain, might not be black labels version....not sure who bred the master kush i got. its great and i have used it in many crosses, it brings better offspring than parent plants.

I'm giving the AI another shot and now with more experience Its looking well so far 2 weeks in to flower, also trying one more ppp but still having trouble, its sensitive to everything but still doing way better than my first attempt. New growers keep up the reading and research, knowledge is power

I dont know of any "Bad Strains" but my Afghani was a low yielding plant at first. After cloning and paying close attention to detail, I was able to get a moderate return for the next couple harvest. Very potent and I can understand why it was used as a base strain. I kept the strain around for about a year...I harvested 4x's before we saw eye-to-eye.

Pineapple Punch (aka Pineapple Express) was a very high yielding plant...that strain was very easy to maintain and mastered by the 2nd-3rd run. Took a while to ripen (11-12 weeks)possibly due to this plant being more on the sativa side.

I'm currently working on a mass clone production for qualified-mmj-patients...I'm messing around with GDP, Blue Widow, Fire OG, GDP x Mr. Nice, and an unverified indica sprout. The FIRE OG clone that was given to me, looked strange and neglected...it has very very short nodes, and very very small leaves (anyone ever come across an issue like that?)...this is the closest bonzai looking cannabis plant I have ever seen. Lets see if I can nurse this lady back to par.

All strains are good strains...it's just about getting to know the diva in these bitches.

So perfection is growing a bunch of joke to find one good plant, with all the strains out there i'd be dumb to waste my time and your time does stop when you die. Life is very short. Why waste it on bunk.

What he means is by. Finding the "one" is. The. Best one out of all of them, ur wrong if u think all plants. Grow the same, there is a certain phenotype u look for, depends on what u like, so when u find the "one" u mother her

and the A.I. smells disgusting maybe just the breeder IDK
Every plant grown from seed exhibits different qualities, maybe 1 out of 100 females is known as the "golden seed"(
if you plan on ordering your seeds which i'm assuming you do since you're a newb, order A LOT!
Many breeders don't stabilize their hybrids which increases your chances of getting a crap seed.Greenhouse seeds inbreeds 7+ generations so i would order from them personally
You need superior genetics to get superior bud! This means possibly ordering 200 regular seeds, flowering em, picking the best male and female in the bunch then cross and collect the seeds. Flower & Pick out the best progeny(M&F) of that batch(P2 Hybrids) and keep repeating until you find a good mother to clone
It takes time but your efforts will be rewarded!

Good luck

Do more research!
