That required that an online database be established listing the names, addresses, and number of guns a person owns?

Every gun they owned had to be listed. Owning a gun, of any kind (except bb and air) had to be listed.

We've to register compound bows and crossbows as firearms.

Slippery slope.

My question to you would be, if 99% of the guns in the US are sold without any sort of records...

How would an optional database to register guns that in theory "dont exist" do anything other than create more wasteful Govt spending?

when it comes to mass shootings..a database would have no effect..it's not who's bought them..it's the insane that get their hands on them..i still vote for my idea of biometric safety..the ability of the gun to be rendered useless in anyone's hand except for its owner.

EDIT: additionally, this would be a rule and righties don't like rules.

You mean like we have in the UK?

After living in the UK n seeing the problems the americans/canadians etc have with gun violence n shootings etc and being on the wrong end of a barrel of a gun a few times in my life myself then yeah i think the system over here is a lot better for stuff like general public safety an not being scared to walk thru certain neighbourhoods etc etc

HOWEVER It would be nice to occasionally be allowed to go have some fun down the range/forest etc whether its target practice or hunting etc, totally illegal though unless you want an in-depth life check by the Police n government and wanna be restricted to a single shot bolt action rifle!

No, waste of time and resources to accomplish what? So the gov. knows how many guns people own, OK, how does that stop or deter any gun related violence? How does that stop criminals from avoiding registering their illegal weapons?

All that would do is tell you which law abiding citizens owned guns, and it would most likely be used for police advantage somehow, so yeah, fuck everything about that

I did finish up the test code for my motorcycle, bolt on, electronic SuperCharger.

This is a real Invention. Un-obtainium, even still, until I am done.
