Yeah its probably been asked...

But, I'm just curious as to what other people opinions are on this matter and trying to get some collective advice.

So here's my story, i have One(1) single plant, it's not very tall nor very bushy but its been vegging for awhile. College is starting just around the corner, and i want something to show for when all my buddies return. Ok ok here is my question. I am going to be purchasing a vacation timer later today (as its 12:39am which is a new day) and some light bulbs for flowering. I am looking for advice on what kind of light bulb(s) that would be the most effective in this process yet staying roughly under 40$ for the lights. So I ask of you all RIU-ers to be so kind and please give me some advice/ comments. thank you very much in return + rep for all replies! (i'll be throwing up a pic within a few minutes)

Before all the harsh words are said ( if any) yes the plant is small, no im not looking for a very high yield i know i want get much....this is my first grow...well 2nd but first time getting this far I will be collecting data from this time for improvements next time....as Thomas Edison once said about someone comments on how he failed so many times trying to make a lightbulb...he replied with... I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

get some 2200k cfl's with the most lumens

The bottom leaves that i trimmed got severly burned early on and died...so instead of keeping them on there i took them off...Thank you for the answer on the light bulb! + rep

I am not currently giving it any ferts...the burns are either coming from my light bulb being to close or the Ph in my water was too high...i make 90$ a week working part time...im not made of money, i havnt been able to purchase everything needed for an optimal grow...only thing the plant has gotten nutrient wise is from the soil i bought which was an organic mix.

Well like said before 2200k cfl or you could go for 2, 2ft, 2 lamp flouro fixtures with two cool white and two warm white bulbs. Pretty cheap and you can keep the heat down. Remember growing with CFL's / flouros takes longer to bud and yield is less but it sounds like you aren't expecting too much. If you know its a female I would just start it on a 12on 12 off cycle now. Its size will double by harvest time Keep that in mind as well.

indeed i am aware size will double to triple..that is why i would like to start it now...thank you for the light bulb suggestions as well all ant any advice whether constructive criticism( not preferred hehe) or positive feedback is ALWAYS welcomed.

so today i picked up a LEP2W30, which is a Lux Electronic products 3 way cfl 13/22/30

Light output 650/1550/2250.(lumen)

What you guys think of my purchase...btw its for a single plant in case you didn't catch teat in a earlier post
