Harvest day photos- Day 65

Both plants are down and drying but i forgot to take pictures of plant 2 until after i chopped it.

They both look beautiful and covered in frost. Plant 2 is dense but not as dense as plant 1. P1 might be the most dense bud Ive ever seen. Like rocks!

UPDATE- Day 35
Both plants are showing signs of being "special".
Now, its just the waiting.
WOW Dr Gruber.. My hats off to you.. you weren't kidding these are at day 35 and they're this frosty?! +1^ for keeping the feeding simple :)
I'm seriously reconsidering the katsu cut.. I'd rather have this in my garden. I didn't think anything of the name turkish cookies.. but this is amazing kind sir :) you got me smiling like a lil school girl again :)
I'm afraid to look on to pg 3 for your end results.. maybe its best if i take a break first.. go for a walk.. another bong toke.. about 30+ pgs of regular bud porn.. then back to this for the meaning of life..

Hey Dr,
How does turkish cookies dense buds and frost production compare to turkish DELIGHT and his bubba kush katsu.
a fair comparison to OG kush in terms of bud density and smell would be great too.
Because i kinda just jumped off the bubba kush hype train for this turkish cookies. hard to imagine its $150 x10 seeds compared to his $240 for only x5 of his bubba kush mind you.

As per Dr GreenThumb's seeds, is this 65 days since 12/12 flip, or do you start counting since first signs of pistils
Its been so long since i've been this excited for a strain only because just looks alone.. this is comparable to GG#4 and WiFi (OGRaskal). I mean guys.. are you looking at this bud and trich production?! Drgruber, thank you for this discovery and not overlooking his cheaper strains lol! because i would have just went for his most expensive stuff and missed out on this beautiful secret crop. How'd you even find this? there's no pics on his site so it wasn't enough for me to even take a second look at it. (i was literally thinking this was a cheap version of GSC) but clearly, i was wrong.

howd would you rate bubba kush density to this? because bubba was by far the most dense i've seen with that narcotic kush fuel like smell.
these look so crystally and dense.. cant wait to see how they dry and cure

Thanks.
Its 65 days since flip to 12/12 as is always the case with Doc's finish times.

Turkish Cookies is a cross of Girls Scout Cookies (forum) and a rare indica called Turkish Delight that only Doc has.

I would say the TC is at least as dense as OG or GSC and more dense then the Turkish Delight.
Frost is perhaps even higher then straight GSC.
Taste is in range with OG and GSC. There are no coffee undertones but its still a tasty treat.
Subtle differences in taste which make it unique but still in that ballpark.
Some will like OG taste better some will like GsC better and some will like TC better.....depends on the individual.

I would echo OMS about the cost. Ive had a few conversations with Doc about the difficulty of getting a large batch viable seeds from Katsu and that brings his costs up.

I have the good fortune of being Doc's public tester and so therefore I sometimes know when a strain is about to be released. Doc likes me to get a jump on the journal so people can see it before purchase.

If you like Sativas take a look at my current journal on Lemon Pie Thai.

I think its a 3/4 Sativa dom and looks like another frosty winner.

Did i answer all your questions?

Did i answer all your questions?
lol yea.. you did. i noticed you compared it to OG kush and not his bubba kush. is it safe to assume that bubba kush wins the density contest?
kind of a bummer to hear its 3/4 sativa. i got a pack of 10 seeds on order to see for myself how many phenos there are of this strain. i'll let u guys know if i find an indica dom pheno (if there is any)
i gave the doc a call myself after seeing your journal, and he told me himself there's very little variations of phenos to look for (he said if you look at dr gruber's pic, they're nearly identical) but he didn't mention them being sativa or indica dominant.
I take ur word on it though being sativa dominant.
ps- your og kush journal doesnt have pic's up anymore, what happened? i wanted to see the density of the buds. I'm looking for an indica heavy plant as a keeper in my garden and can't decide yet. I thought i'd give his TC strain a test run before i commit to $240 for x5 seeds of his katsu cut (which is VERY high on my list, i want to give it a fair comparison to all the other bubba's out there and variations) but thats another project for maybe the upcoming 2017 :P

Sorry for the confusion. The Turkish Cookies is all Indica. I popped two seeds and there were some slight differences in bud structure and taste but not a lot. The rest of the pack might offer even more phenos as i would expect the coffee flavor of the Cookies to come out at some point.
The 3/4 Sativa i mentioned is a new one called "Lemon Pie Thai." It looks like an Indica but it hits like a sativa from what ive been told.

Compared to the Bubba Katsu plants i grew, the Turkish Cookies is more dense by a decent margin. But, i had some grower issues and didn't really do the Katsu justice so that may be why mine weren't so dense.

Unfortunately, when RIU made some updates to the site, it wouldn't allow picture hosting sites anymore. A large chunk of my pictures were on a hosting site and were lost when the update occurred.

This is a good place to go....

Tons of journals on Docs gear and probably more then one on OG.

Are you running straight Jack's Classic nutes with no additives or anything fancy? I have a thing or 2 to learn about keeping it simple so i totally love the fact that you were able to produce such beautiful nugs with just such a simple feeding plan

Yep.....straight Jacks classic with no additives..unless you count the occasional Epsom Salt feeding.
If you wanted you could get away with just using the 20-20-20.

Im waiting to get some more input from patients and then im going to write the smoke report. I want to get it tested at a lab but my car is having some issues and i dont want to drive it that far right now (lab is an hour away). Anyway, when i get the time i will get the test done and update the journal....could be a while.
I will try to take some pics for you in the next day or two.....

you're the man doc! love the way you're doing it.
Im very very VERY glad to hear they're indica dominant plants. i was worried i bit off more than i could chew. i just find sativas a lot more work :P
but i like the way the stems are holding up these dense heavy colas :P
