Chillin in Stage 2. Hopefully they don't kill themselves while I sing along with the radio haha
Here's some links for scopes if you didn't already have one in mind.Just got back from checking on Stage 1 and 2
I lowered my lights in Stage 1 a few inches (there ya go Sincerely420)and zipped a few branches down a bit further. Rotated the pots.
Watered the 3 WW...I think I'll transplant them into bigger pots next week when I top them (at least enough for one clone each). They've grown quite a bit in the last few days. It will never cease to amaze me...I love my plants.
My Warlock mother plant seems a bit slow lately. I was going to cut more clones next week but she hasn't been explosive lately. I'm going to look into that. I mean, she looks great - green and perky. I'm just expecting more out of her.
Peeked in at the girls in Stage 2. They are 22 days in now and doing beautifully. Inspected each one individually for any signs of bugs or stress I might overlook, but other than a few yellow fan leaves resulting from their upset last week they are great. Among all the other items I put on my WANT list today (My fiance says thanks Matt lol...spending more of his money!) I also want to get a good microscope to examine the buds in a couple weeks.
Now...on to read more about organics and making my own soil concoctions.
I brew by the gallon(for 24 hours), so I use gallon water jugs to brew the teas in, and I pump air into them with a little $10 fish tank pump.no probs hope that clears things up for you. AACT can be as simple or complicated as you want to make it but the 4 main things you need are
earthworm castings
bucket
airstone
unsulfered molasses
you can add the castings to a "tea bag" or just dumnp them right into the water. you can add all kinds of ammendments like kelp extracts, guanos....basically anything organic that breaks down into usefull plant food.
yeah i have heard you dont need one either. But i have heard that using one will tremendously increase the amount of microbes and life in your tea. i use one because it cant hurt rightI also don't use an airstone. Haven't noticed anything suggesting that's a prob. Some use it some dont..
I've read pros and cons to using on and settled on doing without one.
Its all boils down to the surface area or the aerationyeah i have heard you dont need one either. But i have heard that using one will tremendously increase the amount of microbes and life in your tea. i use one because it cant hurt right

Matt was right about everything that you can need, but I'll add some things that I use and that you could use:
*Bat Guano(pick and choose or mix and match. It comes in high N or high P depending on where it comes from.
- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001WV6GY/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i00 <-This I use! Renowned for use with bud! GREAT for Phosphorous & macro & micro nutes
*Regular soil
-add a couple tables spoons of whatever organic soil you're using to the tea in place of the earthworm casting from time to time. The EWCs add to the bacteria count so I figure adding some soil would add a little fungi as well as bacteria.
*Kelp Meal - GOTTA HAVE IT! LOADED w/ trace elements. Weed loves it.
-http://www.amazon.com/Algamin-Kelp-Meal-Fertilizer-1-0-2/dp/B002LUAL8S <-MUST HAVE!
Neptunes Harvest Liquid Fish - REALLY GOOD N and P supplement. Plants notice is IMMEDIATELY!
-http://www.neptunesharvest.com/hf-136.html <- I have, use, love, and would DEF. recomend this stuff!
I also don't use an airstone. Haven't noticed anything suggesting that's a prob. Some use it some dont..

Variety is a good thing here too! You can use a combination of things to get the same result!
Teaming With Microbes is a book that I'd recommend just to learn what your doing more in depth!
It's like a soil and tea manual I swear! One you get the hang, it'll all start clicking.
I've read both ways so far, but I'm going to use air stones when I do this. But I like how you explained how you brew by the gallon Sincerely420 and I can't think of any reason not to do that as well.yeah i have heard you dont need one either. But i have heard that using one will tremendously increase the amount of microbes and life in your tea. i use one because it cant hurt right
bump for a response.
I dont use cubes. =)
Thanks buddy Sadly, I'm going to have to abandon these littles since I'm most likely moving to my home state. If I'd been on here longer I might have met someone in my area from here on RIU to pass them on to. Ugh. I'm sad, but in a few months I'll forget about them as I'll be getting an outdoor crop in Yay!a white mold (in my experience) is due to too much moisture. i see it on my clones alot as well and usually its bad bad. i dont think the cubes themselvs are infected and i would like to say that they are just common spores that make thier way to the cubes. Mold spores are everywhere in the air. they just dont grow everywhere because the enviorment is not to thier liking. you provide a moist warm enviorment and getting mold is almost inevitable. I guess thats the difficult part of propagator cloning as too much moisture brings on mold and too little dries the clones out...has to be just right. i am experimenting with leaving the air port(2) on my dome open a little bit to allow excess moisture to leave and still maintain a 80% humidity.
anyways best of luck with the aero cloner!! i have tried and failed with them but seen many many many people on here have great sucess.
What's your home state? Thanks buddy Sadly, I'm going to have to abandon these littles since I'm most likely moving to my home state. I'll chalk it up to experience
What was your issue with an aero...you've seen what we made...I've got to say it's pretty simple long as you put replicator or clonex in the water to spray onto the stems.
i think it was a temp issue, the basement where they were at was pretty clod, and i didnt have a humidity dome which i think would have helped them take in water from the leaves and allow roots to form. not really sure what the problem was i built 2 different style cloners, one with a rubbermaid tote and the other with 5 gal buckets. neither worked great. i did get a couple to root but definatly not the % i wanted. Thanks buddy Sadly, I'm going to have to abandon these littles since I'm most likely moving to my home state. haha you're mask skeers me but I KNOW your not in the closet near me you'd be crowdedWhat's your home state?
I haven't misted the ones in the aero much...and I messed up at first not putting the replicator in, but they all seem to be taking...even if I prolonged it. I read somewhere that with the amount of humidity they are getting underneath they wouldn't really need spraying. What sold me on the gig...Ronco: set it and fergit iti think it was a temp issue, the basement where they were at was pretty clod, and i didnt have a humidity dome which i think would have helped them take in water from the leaves and allow roots to form. not really sure what the problem was i built 2 different style cloners, one with a rubbermaid tote and the other with 5 gal buckets. neither worked great. i did get a couple to root but definatly not the % i wanted.
now im on to rockwool and it seems to work ok, trying to dial it in now while i have plenty of vegging mothers to take cuts from.
Haha that isn't the first time I've heard that.haha you're mask skeers me but I KNOW your not in the closet near me you'd be crowded
It's named a few pages back I think.
Oregon dude, lol it was just a few posts up. post #66Either I'm to stoned to find it or it's not there haha.....
