Hello Everybody,

So i have completly hooked up my vortex, and let me tell you, that works awesome!! my temp is down from 30 to 25, and i am sooo happy!

Two of my plants are looking great, but one is still struggling, wheather because of PH or Lack of light, or something else, i cannot say. However, i will move the plants around in the room tonight, to spread the light.

Pic 1 and 2 are temps
Pic 3 is my new exchaust
Pic 4 is all plants
Pic 5 and 6 are of April
Pic 7 and 8 are Andrea
Pic 9 and 10 are Amanda

Amanda is the one who seems to be having most trouble right now, though i am hopeing that will clear up soon.

Please tell me what you think!

I may have asked already, but are you using nutes with every watering or every other?

Go down to Fred Meyer and spend $15 on a soil pH tester.

If they dont have it at WalMart, is there a home depot or lowes around?

They have a pH tester for pretty cheap. How did the flush go?

Remember, dont flush until they dry out and are ready for water again.

The flush, i hope, went well, they seemed to really like the water and i am optimistic about them.

as a side note, i may have spoken too soon about my exchaust, it does help, but won't do gr4eat untill i install a intake next week.

My original clone seems to still be doing great, but the second one is not looking as good, though i will keep it going untill i'm sure it's dead, lol.

and i def will be checking out homedepot this weekend

Hello all,

So i added up the days today, and i have had my clone cut for 16 days now, do you think i can take it out f the dome now, or should i wait?

Take the dome off of it and see if it starts to droop.

If after an hour or so there is no drooping, it should be fine.

Hello Everyone,

Big update on the pics, but light on the content. I don't really have anything new to add, temps are staying just under the max and lower sometime, moved the postion in the room today though, two of my girls are lookign great while one is coming around.

Clone is looking fine out of the dome, so i think i can claim victory on my first clone!!YAY!! Second clone is looking better todAY Then yesterday, i will post more on the clones tommorow and prob everyday till i'm sure they are both rooted.

PS. The only plant of the three that was not topped was pic 4(Andrea), i did this to see the difference in the two ways, i also had one i was heavily trimming, but that turned out to be male

Looking real good. You got a little forest going on in there.

Big congrats on your first successful clone. She looks happy. Get that second one going and you will be a pro- cloner.

Those flowers look real good. How far along are they again?

i seeded on feb 28, so like 61 days ago i think, i'm so high, lol. according to my phone(where i keep my grow sch) i started week 1 on march 8,(53 days ago) i did that cause i didt count the first 2 weeks while they were seedlings, and they started flowering like 22 days ago or so on Apr 9.

I am hopeing i will be able to harvest on june 2, but i will be checking the buds for them to tell me when they are ready.

Mine stated flower exactly 2 weeks prior to yours. I sooooo can't wait. Hoping mine will be done May 22-24, something like that.

That's funny you keep the schedule on your phone. I have so many different papers I've drawn up with schedules on them.

Keep up the good work. :peace:

Yay clone! I couldn't (was too lazy) to find where you discussed your cloning setup. In honor of your success, do you mind posting a recap of your cloning method?

I am greatful for the chance to blab about my clone start again, lol.

where to begin, i cut a chute off my plant under it's third node( I think thats the term, i'm still a noob) then took a disinfected razor and sliced it on 45*, then simply placed it in a smaller container of soil and gently packed the soil around the stem.

After some great advice here on RIU, i took a 2lt pepsi bottle(product placement) cut the bottom and placed it over the clone as a dome. I then proceeded to spray the sides of the bottle, and exchange the air in the bottle4-5 times a day, or as much as i could.

As for the clone area, i took a 2500k light and a sun-lamp t-12 light, and placed them all in a cabinet going about 20 hrs on 4 off, or 18-6( I dont have a timer for this room, so i made extra sure to remember to turn them back on, i don't mind keeping the light on too long, but did't want to risk leaving it off too long.

Really it was a unexpected experiment, but i am very happy i did choose to do it, and it really only took some extra supplies i already had, and a little bit of laying it all in the same box, lol.

cool, I'd never read about cloning in soil. Most of what I've seen is either in a bubble propagator or in perlite with nutes. Good to know!

Hello Everyone,

So i took the dome off the top yesterday 'cause i was thinking 16 days would be ok, but i fell asleep and when i woke up today, the leaves on the bottom looked like hell!!

Did i do this by taking off the dome? I put the dome back on today and misted it some more.

The top of the plant still looks ok to me, so i wasn't sure if this is something the plant wants to do, or something i did to it?

As always any advice is very much appreciated.

I guess this is my own fault for declearing victory, lol

DONT BE SO WORRIED!!

*new grow jitters, i know*

the yellow bottom leafs on your clones are normal, sometimes they eat the sugars/nute from the lower leafs as soon as roots start, to get it growing again, give it 3 more days, you will see new growth in the yellow leafed 1's.
