robbin may i suggest you mix up both the spectrums during flowering. I've noticed that they seem to do a little better with a 2:1 ratio of warm bulbs to cool white. Just my experiences.

so are you saying have a 2:1 6500k:3000k ratio? i feel like i would have read more about using 6500s during flowering in other places, but i have yet to hear this... do you speak from personal experience?

Its amazing that you got them so big with no nutes....def ease them into some nute love...Im not sure which nute to recommend to you because you are pretty vegged out it looks like and could go to bloom so Ill leave that to the experts... but hang in there keep your chin up *big smiles**

Yeah i was told around a 2:1 ratio 2700k:6500k and it has worked for me. It makes sense because the 6500's are a bit better spectrum for vegging. You could probably go half and half or whatever you'd like. I know 2:1 has worked for my plant. Maybe i can get some pictures.

I'm thinking maybe overwatering, not knowing any details.
like i said, i don't think it's over watering... i only water every 2-3 days, and when i stick my finger in the soil is dry a couple inches down

also, does it look like they might be ready to flower?

Robbinthehood; how much are you watering every 2 -3 days? What is the temperature in your room? I ask b/c your pots look like 3L pots. I'm using something similar. My temps are about 78 degrees F. I water with about 3.5L of pH 6.5 water every 7 - 9 days. The amount of water is up by about a liter from a few weeks ago.

From the pics I've seen, it looks like heat, over/underwatering, or a nute problem likely caused from poor pH. You can pick up a cheap soil pH tester at Lowes/Home Depot. You can also pick up a swimming pool pH test kit to see what pH your water is. Make sure the soil pH and water pH is to the plants liking. Does your soil have nutes in it? If not, well I'm not the guy to tell you what to add (no experience); but I can tell you that you need to dilute it in water that is properly pH'd (which depends on your soil's pH) before adding it to your plants.

I started flowering mine when they were 19 days old. By the looks of it, you could definitely flower.

Good luck with your grow robbin!

I agree with Pop, about once a week water at that age, maybe if they were flowering or in small pots 2-3 days but you have some nice size pots. Ph could play a role also, using some R/O(more fore hydro). Spring or distill water will correct that get for soil!!. If you buy a swimming pool kit to test your water make sure to read the lowest and high ph it will read, i have bought many that startmeasuring at 7.0, and you atleast need something that goes to th 6's. You are going to have some monster either way, you plant double even triple in size during flower. And those babies are very mature, you should hit them with full streght nutes, the ppm's required for their age ofcourse. I made the mistake of taking to long to feed my babies and almost lost them too, but the black spotting i didnt have... this time i feed my babies nutes 2 weeks in and a couple burn, very few, but they are growing like CRAZY!!

Keep us posted... Good luck!!

I have tried water, feed, water. But now i am going with feed, feed, feed, water making sure to keep an eye on the ph.... Alot more growth this way, but no problems still!! Start off with 1/4 stregth (of directions)first feeding, then 1/2, then full stregth per nute directions. Most nutes apply at 1tsp per gal.

awesome, thanks for the quick response...but how often do you feed them?
edit: also, some of my bottom leaves have become yellow and are drying up and dying off... i am trying to prune them off when theyre about half dead..but more and more keep turning yellow and dying, only on the bottom. could this be a symptom of root lock/underwatering? any help on this topic would be awesome too

i'll get up some pics of what i'm talking about later tonight if i get a chance, have to work soon

Say you water your plants every 5 days...
One the 5th you would water w/nutes
10th water w/nutes
15th water w/nutes
20th water w/nutes
25th water Only no feed/nutes.

and so on and so forth
Really not sure with yellow leaf prob, i would really need to see it. My advise dont rpune them, let the plant dispose of them it self, so it can get all it need out of before it drops, maybe it has something to do with them being hungry and suck all the nutrients out of the bottom leaves, not sure thats why i say maybe but, they are absolutly ready to eat, so that should cure all, if not, they need a GOOD flush..... I starved my first set a bit, and it sound similar to my problems... Good luck!!

i hope this makes sence...lol i am really BLAZED!!
