There was a TV show called "Crime Story" in the '80s
We were living in Vegas at the time and my wife was a big fan of the show, so when I heard on the radio that the cast of the show was going to be playing a softball game with members of the LV police, I borrowed my father-in-law's BETA camcorder and went down to the ball field after the game to see if I could get one of them to say "hi" to my wife, who was at work. The first guy I saw was Anthony Denison, who was sitting on some bleachers drinking beer out of a cup, so I told him my wife was a big fan of the show but had to work and could he say "hi" to her? He said sure, what's your wife's name and I told him, and then he asked my name and again I told him. So he says let me know when you're ready and I said "okay" and started recording
He says:
"Hi, XXX, I'm just here to tell you that your husband ZZZ here... what's that girl's name? Mary Lou? Well there's a girl named Mary Lou and she's holding the Porta-Pak, but I wouldn't worry about it too much 'cause I'm sure she's not as pretty as you."
I was like WTF is he talking about and then I realized what he was doing and it was really cool, so I said "hey thanks, man", and he said "you're welcome". Very nice guy, classy.
So then I walked around a little more and found Dennis Farina sitting on a bench drinking beer (he was pretty buzzed) and eating a hot dog, told him about my wife being a big fan, etc, and he said "Hi XXX, thanks for watching the show and being a fan".
I played the tape for my wife when she got home from work and of course she loved it, but while I was watching the part with Dennis Farina I noticed a drunk guy staggering around in the background- it's the guy who played "Buffalo Bill" in Silence of the Lambs
So every time I see a reference to him I think about making that recording, which I still have but it's on BETA
