The reply I got from KingBrite regarding paypal was 3.8 % as for VegasWinner maybe he is talking about his supplier not tacking on any % for using paypal? I have never heard of anyone tacking on % for using paypal but then again I am only new to purchasing online so it maybe the norm? ... cheers

Forget what the other guys who have rollitup advertiser banners say Kingbrite most of these guys were buying from them or their direct competition not me because the only reason I started selling COBs was because Jerry asked me to and I don't need to sell cobs to make money. If you look back I was the first to mention Kingbrite back on Feb 12, 2015 here's the link http://rollitup.org/t/who-has-bought-from-kingbrite-technology-co.860288/ and everyone who has bought from KB was very happy the only people who weren't is the competition. $31 for CXB3590 and you'll probably get the DB bin which is the highest bin you can get and everyone else will charge $50+

thats fine its still $35/chip once you ship em which is kinda off the map relative to similar performing chips from other mfrs

clu1212 are good chips but a shade below the cxb 3590, but they are also literally 1/4-1/3 of the price depending on the gen you select

1216 gen6 or 1812 gen 6 are a closer match to the cxb 3590

1818 (gen 5 or 6) and luminus cxm22 are both more efficient than the cxb3590

Thanks for the enlightenment!

that would be the first time i have heard of anybody purchasing from kingbrite and not paying an extra fee for paypal.

i have actually never purchased anything from them because once they worked up the pricing and invoiced me with the fees there was little to no savings vs us suppliers

there are reports in this thread and others of the 4.5% fee. maybe you got lucky

Paypal fees are paid by the seller unless they are passing them on. I never bought from Kingbright I stated my experiences, not yours. It seeds you have no problem buying from Kingbright and perhaps reselling parts, why should folks not buy direct from Jerry and save the extra from buying from you instead. buy from the same supplier. I understand why you want people buying from you it is business for you and profits. paying your rent.

correct

I never bought from Kingbright I stated my experiences, not yours.
we were talking about kingbright specifically, as discussed they pass on fees in their invoice

It seeds you have no problem buying from Kingbright and perhaps reselling parts,
i have never bought parts from jerry as i stated above. All of my parts come either straight from the resellers or their authorized distributors

why should folks not buy direct from Jerry and save the extra from buying from you instead.
i encourage everybody to shop around and consider all costs and benefits when purchasing their products. I'm not really all that sure my costs are higher but i dont really watch other distributors too closely. I'm not aware of any chips he stocks that are significantly cheaper than mine at least. I dont know much about Jerrys business, I do know that I am an authorized distributor of the chips i stock, I offer application support to customers and non-customers alike, and stock a fair amount of parts domestically at what I and my customers consider to be a fair price and they seem to be happy based on repeat business. I really dont consider kingbrite to be competition. We may sell some of the same parts but were not even in the same country. I offer application support and he doesnt. I do photometric testing on products to determine what is the best cost/benefit for the grower, jerry sells what is popular and profitable. Its pretty much apples and oranges.

I understand why you want people buying from you it is business for you
yes that is how a business works

I just read language like, :"Chinese business people do the following.." that language bothers me, Replace Chinese with another ethnic group and see how that sounds to you.

My point is Alibaba sells on Amazon, and Ebay as well, same sellers, other sites. Best prices are at Alibaba tho because everyone puts a markup on Alibaba products because of a lack of knowledge, which is why I bought multiple products on Alibaba openly to show people the Chinese are not crooks, but just like everyone else. So you can but from Amazon or Ebay and pay marked up prices or go directly to Alibaba and pay less. choices.

I have no problem who sells what. I do not sell here. I have clients that buy my products, light controllers for DMX, growing, etc. directly from me in volume I have a broad-based company. I shared code to build a DIY controller, DIY pcb board, etc. because that is how I pay back. people thought I was going to start selling boards next. fooled ya all. LOL

I know how business works, I have been in business for over 40 years now doing the same things.

its not an ethnic thing its a country thing. its just the way they do business over there. doesnt make them cheap or dishonest there are just certain expectations in different areas who is responsible for the costs, which is why terms like FOB and CIF exist

when i sell anything i eat all the fees on credit cards and paypal which sucks but thats how they do it in america

go to a gas station and hey have separate prices for cash and credit for similar reasons

if i buy any parts from a us distributor they are more than happy to take a credit card

any parts i import myself like heatsinks for example they put every penny of transaction fees on the buyer

The bulk of products sold domestically are priced accordingly to cover the cost of importing as well as the merchant fees and cost to warehouse parts domestically. its value added and up the chain a bit. its just the nature of business

i can understand why you get upset, and its not meant to be racist but when you deal with these types of things for a long time it just is what it is. not everyone is obviously the same, infact jerry is a bit of an exception. in my experience (and in my line of work i've dealt with this for a long time, i spent many years in china at actual factories dealing with distributors) it just is what it is. its not racist, its like when you go to the market your expected to haggle right? when you deal with chinese wholesalers there are similar things you have to take into account. nothing against the race itself. anyway hope i didn't offend you or anything i actually have no problem with the way they do business.
