Lowlife Auto AK47 X Blueberry AG grow

Well, I've got a little bad news and some good news. I'll get the bad out of the way. One of the autos is a confirmed male and it looks like the Haze is not going to take.

Now the good news. My Gigabud and The Church are coming right along and the other two autos are female. So, I've just got to keep them going. My only concern is that the autos' roots are beginning to grow into the larger pots and when I get ready to pull them they may cause problems with dead roots left behind. Any suggestions?

Dimebag, that is cool how you transplanted from hydro to soil. How long have they been in soil?

There is only one male so far. They were 2 weeks from sprout yesterday, April 4th.

Once I pull the autos out to harvest I plan to put this container's lid on an 18 gallon bottom after flushing. I didn't want to flush anymore after that. Will I need to? 18 gallons is a lot to flush.

That's one nice looking lady hyman. I have one that is 3 weeks and still hasn't shown sex yet. I got the male out before it produced any pollen, I think?

Anyway, here is an update. The 2 Auto AK-47 X Blueberry are 3 weeks old, Gigabud is 2 weeks old and The Church is one week old. I was out of town for a week and my wife took care of them and the pH stayed a little high to cause some discoloration but I think they look great!

Auto AK-47 X Blueberry(unknown sex)

Auto AK-47 X Blueberry (female)

Gigabud

The Church, I'll be damed if it doesn't look like an angel with wings flying into the hydroton clouds! :fire:

I'm a sponged, comments welcomed.

This may seem like a silly question. I bought some mylar balloons and cut them into squares to apply to some cardboard to close in the grow area. Which side are you supposed to use? The inside of the balloons are dull. I want to make sure I don't burn my girls with the shiny side.

TIA!

Thanks alot, dimebag. She looks yummy! How long did it stunt her when you transfered to soil? What kind is it?

How warm is too warm for the water temp? Mine runs up to 78, is too hot?

mine was 90 way too hot.78 is perfect. stunted them for about a week. that is three plants in one pot the smallest one never really recovered.

I've been doing some low stress to spread these babies out and get as many bud sites as possible. I really need to get the youngest plant old enough to start adding nutes. They are screaming yellow now.

The largest Auto is flowering really well. The other one still hasn't shown sex. It is a runt for sure. The root system for both look great.

Let me know what you think.

autos are a one shot deal if you stress them or shock them your yeild will be a couple of grams. plus about half of the plant will end up just plain weak and small.trust me i know . i love them but you have to plant alot of them. and culol out the small or weak than the males so plant 20 for 10. 10 under cfl = 3.5oz. dont beleive an ounce a plant. wet yes- dry no

Well, then it is too late. I stressed them when I transplanted them when they were 1 week old. The autos are only going to help me get some smoke until the others are finished. They are mainly a curiosity to me. I don't see myself wasting my grow space for 20 plants to get 3.5 ounces. They are a fun plant to grow because of it's vigor and ease of flowering but that is a ridiculous. With the amount of root growth, I don't see but 2 max in an aerogarden.

Thanks for the insight Mr. Dimebag. :joint:

Thanks alot Dimebag, I hope you stick around I may need ya help later.

I thought I would give the auto strain a chance to prove it's worth instead of just bashing it because of what my sister's daddy's uncle said about it.

Well, both of the autos are females. I finally added a diluted amount of nutes to the water and they all loved it. I agree with dimebag that the strain hasn't been stabilized yet and their growth varies. There is a considerable difference in the size of these two plants. Anyways, I'll smoke it either way.

Happy 4/20 my fellow heads. bongsmilie
