WTF is this on my roots? If it is just salt buildup, why is it only in this one area and the only plant that has it?

Those ladies look nice dimebag. How much longer?
your roots are rotting!!!! that is the reason i took my plants out of the ag. salt build up is white. wash the roots and put in soil or buy the dro cleaning stuff clear-something. your roots got to much light, or to high temps. your in danger if you dont act quick..!!!!!!!!!

Root rot, are you sure? All root rot that I've seen is discolored roots. This is white growth. The upper part of the roots have had a faint red color because I didn't rinse the hydroton rock well enough. Roots are not slimy either. I would guess it is salt build up. But I'm just guessing. I need some help on this one.

Here is another picture.

TIA

Well, I've flushed twice to try to clear myself of the white growth on my roots. I still think it is salt build up but not 100% because of the slowed growth. I've separated the best looking plant, the Gigabud, and placed her in a bucket bubbleponic system so that I could start giving her some nutes. I started another Church in it's spot in the original setup.

Well, I need to update a bit. I have moved the Autos back to the AG so that I can add nutes to the others. These Blues don't like any amount of nutes. The buds are looking good.

The others look good and I'll update those later.

Enjoy.

Thank ya for the kind words. May kind bud find it's way to ya.

I have to say that the smoke is superb. I had to harvest both autos earlier than the breeder suggested. The root growth got both of them and they just stopped growing. It wasn't rot but still not sure what it was. If anyone has any ideas please let me hear/read them. The one I just harvested hadn't grown any in the last week. The larger one I pulled 2 weeks ago has been cured and is oh so sweet. The biggest drawback of this strain is the yield. Well, the two I grew were poor. Maybe a 1/2 ounce dry total between 2 plants but really potent. Good head high to zone out.

High=7
Yield=3
Ease to grow=Hard
Really fun to grow despite the draw backs. I believe this would go for the auto strain as a whole. They grow fast at the beginning and are pretty foolproof.

Smaller Auto. Harvested at 9 weeks. Breeder suggested 10 weeks.

On to better news. My gigabud, church and northern light X skunk are looking great. I just started flowering May 17. Been doing some lst and these girls are bushy as hell. Enjoy.

Gigabud at 7 weeks.

Church at 6 weeks, front left. Northern Lights X Skunk at 5 weeks, front right. Church at 3 weeks, middle rear.

Alright, I broke down and ordered a 150w hps and I upgraded all the plants to individual 5 gallon buckets while I wait. Lowe's has them for about 4 bucks apiece, including lid. :joint:

So, while I wait on my light I took a few photos at 1 week of flowering. The Gigabud showed flowers at 2 days flowering and has a minimum of 36 tops! It is supposed to finish at 5 weeks, we'll see. The two church look good. The younger is about to catch up to big sis. The Northern Lights X Skunk is the one that looks the worse but not too shabby. I really like the plants in their own water system. It just works better for me.

Enjoy. Please give me some feedback on how I'm doing.

Like what I read, out of my ak47xBB (had 10 seeds) I got 3 females...one large, one medium that got burnt and ended up with 4 small colas(not to much bud on this plant) and a small one that got seeded

Some of my regular females turned hermie before I knew it and polinated the rest of the room so my other 2 autos got seed sites. Week 9 for me now but gonna let em go till 10 or 11..gonna start flushing tommorow

They byfar smell the sweetest out of all the strains going and the leaveso on the medium one are FROSTY

:joint: Was the first thread I actually read about this strain, thanks for the info
