Natrone23. How dare you attack my patriotism. I am a disabled vet who has defended this country and yes I do wear a pin.

First off i want to thank u for your duties u served our country. But imo i would agree that the flag pin dont mean shit. The man speaks the truth more than ne candidate i have witnessed in my lifetime.Period. at least he can string a sentence together. for starters lol. and the atichrist thing is bs. if any thing resembles the anti christ it is the American Flag, it is a symbol that has more blood spilled on it than every maxi pad in the world. its has caused more evil than hitler ever imagined in my opinon. just my thoughts.:joint:

so you take what al gore says as fact? maybe you are retarded you fuck!! do more research and then run your mouth you old boob.

Geeze wetard or retard whatever. I have my views and you have yours. I'll believe mine and you can go fuck a clam. Ignorance is bliss you slut, lap it up. When your grand kids say, "Gee grandpa, why didn't you try and stop this fornication of our planet" then I'll be vindicated, meanwhile fuck you!

Firstly how can you deny that CO2 emissions are a huge problem? Of course they are responsible for global warming. all the proof you need if look at your gro op. When the CO2 levels are higher the room is hotter. done. no more silly denials because you are scared that you may actually have part with some of your precious money to help out.
are you serious? OMG, please tell me your joking? maybe my cause/time is wasted on this site, what was i thinking trying to educate a bunch of stoners???

YOUR ROOM WILL NOT GET HOTTER BECAUSE YOU ADD CO2..WHEN ADDING CO2 YOU WANT YOUR ROOM TO BE HOTTER SO YOUR PLANTS CAN HAVE A FASTER METABOLIC RATE AND TRANSPIRE MORE(aprox 85 degrees is ideal with ~1500ppm co2). THE CO2 IS JUST AN AUGMENTATION THAT DOES NOT CONTROL YOUR TEMPS(ACTUALLY IF YOU USE BOTTLED CO2 IT WILL MAKE YOUR ROOM COOLER), YOUR THERMOSTAT/CLIMATE CONTROLER, CONTROLS YOUR TEMPS..

edit- please tell me that someone else understands what im saying here or maybe I'm just delusional..

i honestly dont understand what is so hard to understand about any of this... a co2 burner will produce heat but the co2 is not making your room hotter, the flames are making your room hotter and co2 is the byproduct. your climate controller usually turns on a ventilation fan which is ultimately controlling the temp issues.

"no more silly denials because you are scared that you may actually have part with some of your precious money to help out."

look, im glad your interested in the political forum, but dont start falsely accusing people when your ignorant. why the fock should i part with any more money when im barely getting by as it is? lmao... why should i pay for a "global warming" tax when the scientists can't do anything about it? im backed up on my bills as it is.... how about you part with your precious money to help me out?

very mature and as dave said "nice articulate counterpoint there MM",

thanks for sharing your information and sources for your logical point of view.

as far as im concerned, im right and you guys are wrong until im disproven on my facts and logic. ohh and an answer of "did you watch Al Gores movie?" will not suffice for a rebuttal.

i know its hard for you closed minded people to realize truth and facts even when they smack you in the face... and, its even worse when you have to admit to yourself that you were wrong! lmao

Wow...Nice articulate counterpoint there MM.
thanks dave!!!

You're not delusional about that point.

However, I will say this: Even if global warming is a scam (which I don't entirely buy), I would propose that it's a good thing to hit the American people with. We live frivolously and incredibly wastefully. We suck at a black teat, never to be torn away until absolutely forced. I believe the science shows very well that we are affecting the planet, and if we don't want to see that which we hold dear to go the way of the dodo bird then we must change our habits. If its ultimate purpose is to get us, as a whole, to live in a manner that is less damaging to the environment then I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing.

I should probably try to clarify my point, which is this; I believe that humans have affected the planet about as much as those microbes that changed our atmosphere to a close to 20% O2 content, and that was DISASTROUS for the anaerobic creatures! That being said, I feel that "environmentalism" is entirely selfish. Life will go on, it WILL go on. What won't is human life, and what won't is life as we know it. We love and value that with which we are familiar, that which we find beautiful. To that end, in in that vein, environmentalism is indeed a selfish endeavor. Does that make sense?

Do a little Googling on what happened to world sunlight and temperature levels in the days following the 9/11 attacks because of the massive global reduction in condensation trails from jet airliners. Search using the terms 'evaporation pans' and 'coral light bleaching temperature' (I think those will net you the research results). In the meantime, Dave and I keep in touch with our paleoclimatologist friend. ;) Because, let's face it, we still don't know enough about the earth's climate changes pre-modern human to really say with any certainty just how much of the change we're recording is due to human activity versus natural shift.

Why thank you dave, when called names like an old fool (I may well be one, since anyone that spends this much time on a site with a bunch of retarded pot heads as I, could be. In fact I remember how intelectually superior I felt when I first started smoking that brain dumbing shit) I respond in kind, especially when called one by someone 1/3 my age (his words) I am as articulate as needs be. in this case I felt not much articulation was necessary. Ah yes, the superior attitude of the intelectually defunct pothead. (I'll certainly win a lot of friends and influence a lot of people with this post, eh?) ~LOL~. It's a Joke people, well mostly, some of it may be true.

~lol~ Wow, this post shows how hubris you really are. Every one on here is a dumb pothead and your the wise old guru. Because I'm 1/3 your age makes me young, dumb, and full of cum, right? Well, because your 3 times my age I think that makes you old, senile and out of cum/impudent().... Isn't it fun to undermine each other, look at all the progress we are making!! We are confirming our hate for each other and disregarding the subject at hand... Way to go med!!!

It seems like whenever someones views oppose yours, than, you think it gives you the right undermine them.. You do not hold the answers to the universe, you are not 100% right even will all of your 66 years experience, you should have learned that sometimes you need to shut up, humble yourself, and listen. If your views do not support someone else's than try and rationalize your perspective. No one is going to want to listen to you after you attack them and tell that their opinions are worth shit.

You'll attract more bees with honey than vinegar...

dude no matter how ignorant you choose to remain even you cant change the laws of thermodynamics.
CO2 retains heat, period. NOTHING you can say or do will change that simple fact.
I used the grow op idea cause i fugured it might be an exaple that people had experienced themselves but there are countless other examples in daily life.
So now "we" know that CO2 is a heat sync, so whats gonna happen when 300 million americans start up their car every day, not mention 1 billion chinese. Added to the fact that we in North America have such a craving for meat that the methane from our cows stinky ass farts is actaully breaking down the ozone. Is that not messed up? how can you not be worried.

Also i saw i really smart thing the other day about the fact that regardless of wether Global warming is a crisis or not, why in the holy hell would we then chose to not spend the cash to try to fix it now rather than wait till the next crisis! I just dont get the resistance to sponsoring greener ways of living.

Try again man

What doesn't retain heat? Does oxygen and nitrogen retain heat too? Hmmm, should we do away with these too? Where did you get that info from anyways?

"Plants require carbon dioxide to conduct photosynthesis, and greenhouses may enrich their atmospheres with additional CO2 to boost plant growth, since its low present-day atmosphere concentration is just above the "suffocation" level for green plants. A photosynthesis-related drop in carbon dioxide concentration in a greenhouse compartment can kill green plants. "

from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Co2

Hmmmmm, its present-day concentration percent is just above "suffocation" level for green plant.... Interesting, its roughly ~350ppm... What do you propose the recommended level should be?

So now "we" know that CO2 is a heat sync, so whats gonna happen when 300 million americans start up their car every day, not mention 1 billion chinese. Added to the fact that we in North America have such a craving for meat that the methane from our cows stinky ass farts is actaully breaking down the ozone. Ok ok you got me here..... So now "we" know that co2 is a heat sync, but what about the other ~70% of greenhouse gases that are water vapor? Does water vapor not act as a "heat sync"? Should we tell everyone to not have a pool or water their lawns because its evaporating water vapor which is a greenhouse gas that acts as a "heat sync"??????

Some random facts from wiki.

Five hundred million years ago carbon dioxide was 20 times more prevalent than today, decreasing to 4-5 times during the OpenDNS period and then maintained a slow decline until the industrial revolution, with a particularly swift reduction occurring 49 million years ago.[17][18]

Up to 40% of the gas emitted by some volcanoes during subaerial volcanic eruptions is carbon dioxide.[19] According to the best estimates, volcanoes release about 130-230 million tonnes (145-255 million tons) of CO2 into the atmosphere each year.

There is about 50 times as much carbon dissolved in the oceans in the form of CO2 and CO2 hydration products as exists in the atmosphere. The oceans act as an enormous carbon sink, having "absorbed about one-third of all human-generated CO2 emissions to date."[23] Generally, gas solubility decreases as water temperature increases. Accordingly carbon dioxide is released from ocean water into the atmosphere as ocean temperatures rise.
Most of the CO2 taken up by the ocean forms carbonic acid.

So as you can see volcanoes produce 145-255 million tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year. Maybe we should put a carbon tax on the volcanoes?

The oceans act as an enormous carbon sink, having "absorbed about one-third of all human-generated CO2 emissions to date."[23] Generally, gas solubility decreases as water temperature increases. Accordingly carbon dioxide is released from ocean water into the atmosphere as ocean temperatures rise. Most of the CO2 taken up by the ocean forms carbonic acid.

This is extremely important in realizing the relationship between co2 levels and our temps. The warmer the water the less co2 that it can absorb, and the converse hold true too- the colder the water the more co2 it can absorb/dissolve..

Moreover, the temps thusly effect the co2 levels and not the other way around. A colder ocean temp, the more co2 it can dissolve. A warmer ocean temp, the less co2 it can absorb. But, in order to change the oceans temps it takes MANY years because the ocean is SO VAST and MASSIVE.

Also i saw i really smart thing the other day about the fact that regardless of wether Global warming is a crisis or not, why in the holy hell would we then chose to not spend the cash to try to fix it now rather than wait till the next crisis! What you saw this dummy? YouTube - Most Terrifying Video You'll Ever See

The reason why I say we shouldn't spend the cash is because ITS NOT WORTH PUTTING OUR COUNTRY INTO A MASSIVE DEPRESSION FOR SOMETHING THAT IS NOT A REMEDIAL... This guy is probably banking off of global warming for a research paycheck.

I'm all for sponsoring a greener way of living dude, I'm just trying to educate people about the scam being pulled.

dont quote wikipedia as your only source and expect to be taken seriously man.

and by the way your country is in a depression so due greatly to people 20 years ago reacting the same way as you are now. you better hope Obama can save your asses or we all suffer.

Heard that. Heh...expecting a politician to save my ass...

All I ever hear from Obama supporters is "Well, I have to believe that Obama is going to <insert drivel here>" or that "I BELIEVE that Obama will <insert more drivel here>"...I never get any hard answers to the questions I present...All I get are "warm and fuzzy" replies w/ a side of "touchy feely"...

No but honestly, wiki is close enough to fact as far as I'm concerned... Or maybe I'm missing something, are you saying wiki is bunk? lol

Ya, thats the same impression I get from Obama too. Lots of hype, but not a lot to rhetoric to support his "big change" ideas.....
