yeah i got some 3500k coming from plc but im all about the mixed spectrums.i run about a 60/40 mix of hps and mh in my room now so i guess i just really want to mix these cobs so i can get a decent look at the side by side with my current setup.as long as they wont cause problems using them on the same driver.
Make sure voltage is same for different colors and you are fine. I am going to mix 2 5000k and 2 3500k along with 12 3w far red led diodes for flower phase. Peace

I am building a new space with two 4x4 rooms, finished the room today, I ordered (12) 3590 CB 35K for each side from Cutter they have a kit that includes (4) cobs, Ideal Holder, Ideal Adapter to suit Ledil Angelina and Graphite Thermal Interface. the 4 cob kits sells for $184 plus s/h but with the discount it covered most of that so to my door about $44 per unit.
Which type of drivers are you going to use?

What type of mounting system are you looking at?

im not 100% on that shit yet lol,i been lookin at that 80/20 stuff one of you guys linked in a dif thread and its fuckin nice but damn is it pricey.im probably just going to use some angle aluminum from home depot or trackor supply.i think tomorrow im gunna stroll through the depot and see what all they have for angle and wire n do-dads.i have a rivet gun so using angle makes the most sense.but that 80/20 shit with all the dif fasteners and corner connectors would make the fixture look way more badass

@Plastidip turned me on to this site: https://www.servocity.com/index.html

its worth browsing for cool ideas based on their photos. many of their brackets and hardware are very affordable. I got $6.99 flat rate shipping on a bunch of stuff.

@sixstring2112 you don't fuck around dude! I want to touch your parts..

and I want to make sex to @robincnn 's new box.
hey man,im all in on this now no half assin my way around the cob.im fully inserted lmao.no really though, you guys have an idea on how many hlg 185 1050 drivers i can safely run off 1 -240volt breaker @ 20 amps and whats a safe number of the same drivers off 120v 20amp breaker.someone else asked in another thread and i got to reading the data sheets but stoners and data sheets, well all i see is inrush currents can reach up around 6 or 7 amps? is this true these need more amps during powering up than a 600 w hid ?

then my next question is if that is the case i should be able to defeat this problem by having them timed seperately so there would be a min or 2 between each fixture turning on?but that wont help during a power outage when they all come back on line together :(

ive been running (10) hlg185 off of my 30amp 22ov circuit , no issues at startup with a standard Titan 4 relay box. I know, not very scientific, but im alive.

nice, thanks for the real life info bro.sounds like i should be fine running 4 off a 20amp then maybe 3 if i use 120v @ 20amp.

Six- If you use a titan 4 @ 220 on a 30 amp breaker, you will be safe up to 4400 watts. Just make sure you balance the loads on the controller (titan 4). This will also keep the drivers running cooler. If you use 120v 20 amp, make sure you don't go over 2000 watts. Also make sure there is nothing else on that breaker.

I have had 10 (120/185 mixed) all on one regular surge protector plugged into one outlet of an autopilot 4 light controller, and never had an issue even with them all firing on at once. Never had an issue. I don't recommend it, but liek mau5 said...I'm still alive, and my lights were on.

Thanks guys that makes me feel confident running just 3 or 4 off one circuit.i dont have a titan control, just a empty 30 amp breaker with 1 oulet on it that i plan to use with just a simple 240v mechanical timer .
