On a side note.got a bunch a different types of aluminum L stock from the depot to mess with soon as the time comes.

didnt wanna clog up his thread ,but all that talk in @Greengenes707 thread about audio made me think of this and i just had to say,turn ya damn headphones up foo's lmao.

hey @robincnn the eagle has landed

man that was fast bro.so heres a few quickies,robin made me some custom prototype dimmer boxes so i can pair my fixtures in groups of 3 as im leaning towards remote drivers .so these boxes will go next to the drivers somewheres close by.cob leads and ground wire will just run straight from drivers to fixtures.looks like ill be up late tonight messin with layouts :eyesmoke:

20 heatsinks,the boxes and all the misc screws a day after i paid,fanfuckintastic !!

Yeah he made these to my specs and was very patient while i changed my mind about 5 times lol.
So question for anyone who wants to chime in.im leaning towards 1 foot on center for my cob spacing,looking at 5 cobs on a 4 foot rail with the end lights pushed as far out as possible. Does anyone here run them wider apart like 16 or 18 inches? And these will be mostly 3590 running @1050ma so just 36ish watts per cob.with lenses on most but i may remove some of the lenses in the center just to spread out any potential hot spots.

I use 5 COBs @1050ma 36v. 54" heatsink 12" on center. 3" to the edge from last COBs.

Should still be passive. May run slightly hot on ends.

lol no i got kinda bust with needy potheads and i had to take my parents out to dinner tonight so i get home at like 1230am and all my gumption is gone haha.took me 3 times longer to water my veg area tonight cause all those heatsinks had to get moved a few times and i cant stop fingerfuckin em .tomorrow its on !!

I also run 5 per 48" rail 12ish" center. I'm running Vero 29 @ 1.4A which if I had to guess would be very similar output as your setup. I run reflectors and am actually going to have to dim down a bit to avoid causing deficiencies (a lil too much light). I would imagine you would be fine without optics if you chose, otherwise you will have ample light density even @ 36"-48" to canopy with a fantastic foot print.

thanks for the response man,im diggin what your sayin and it sounds like i might have to dim down which would be fine by me,better than wishing i had more juice.

Sorry for the delay in response, I am using Mean Well HLG-185H-C700 to maximize efficiency, I am also going passive cooling from HeatsinkUSA 5.88 x 42". my kilowatt cost is .18 so passive cooling was a must. all the parts will be together Tuesday.
