Think I'm gonna DIY some of those Bridgelux EB series. It'll give me something to do, which I desperately need and can do it bit by bit. QB's are still the goal but A. They're never in stock and B. When they are I don't have the cash available......
Sounds like a good plan to me......
Shame the drivers are so expensive. I'm gonna look for an alternative to use until I have more cash.
Maybe I should crowd-fund a startup and knock a few out.....

The Holy Trinity
The QB, The Sol and the Holy MUFU!! :D

I vote yes to strips. The ones that key4 posted look decent. Pretty sure cheaper drivers than meanwell are possible.
Yeah strips are a goer...deffo doing a DIY job with these. Had a brief look at other drivers but didn't find anything yet but I will. As you say, must be alternatives!

What about these strips? Just seen them posted on another thread

Lil bit more efficient
Yeah but being Samsung instead of Bridgelux they're 5x the price so that fucks the efficiency unfortunately :(

Time for a quick update. Day 3 12/12.
Fed the girls 5ml/l of Bio Bizz Grow and just a touch of Bloom. I'll decrease the Grow and increase the Bloom gradually, guided by the feeding chart from Bio Bizz.
Plants all look healthy and heights are between 17 and 24 inches. I'm assuming they'll fill out and push up for a while yet.

nice man! take the lowest big water leaves off and tidy those cuts up dude, tree surgery college taught me that clean cuts lead to a healthier life, if you cut it right the plant can defend itself from infection easier.

like so, this angle cut when ya prune ;)

yo! slacking (: hows things in here ?
Slacking? Me? Always!! :D
Things are going okay if a little slow, but maybe that's normal for these strains! I'll get some pics up prolly tomorrow after I pick up a Q :D
Seriously thinking of grabbing 5 TCI strips for £40 and sticking them in the space for the last 4-6 weeks of 12/12.....
