A significant portion of jobs will be gone, it's not about "looking for work", it's about the work not being available for millions of people who want to work.

Your solution of telling people to just stop being lazy and get a job will undoubtedly lead to political unrest when there are no jobs available. So, to avoid that, what would you suggest?
Like I said how and why is your life so fucked up that you can't find work. We have Mexicans who can't even speak the language , no American connections....etc and still find work to provide for their family. What is your problem ? Again what do you do for a living. Not my fault you fucked yourself by not getting a trade or education

My understanding is that Pada wants a check without a days work. Government is to just give all able bodies a check just for being
If we could achieve desired results by doing so then should we still not based on the false assumption that $500/month will make everyone lazy?

The idea behind it is to mitigate the symptoms of poverty. The goal is to improve the quality of living for everyone in a given society by improving financial stability and mobility and in turn health, happiness, a sense of community, safety, and productivity.

If it helped a single mother focus more of her time raising her children which resulted in those children being better able to acheive their potential and produce more in their lifetime (escape the cycle and life of poverty), does the 'problem' of her not working, even temporarily, justify letting her, the child, and later society suffer?

I don't take anything from anyone. I am using a federally funded program that is voluntarily paid into by people like you. Thank you.

I don't base my pride on money. I'm not that shallow.
you're welcome, but wouldn't you like to have job or be an employer doing something you like ? or do you just prefer sitting at home collecting welfare AKA Calfresh

the last part I'm all for, but an able body person who can work and is just responsible for self should want to do so and not just want to sit on their ass collecting a check.

You have no idea what I do with my time. Stop pretending like you do.

Why would I want to answer to someone else when I can be perfectly happy not working? Why do you feel as if you need to work in order to feel good about yourself? I do plenty of "work" to feel proud about. It just doesn't require me to punch a time clock every day.

My question to you is, if 1% or 3% or 5% or even 10% of people refused to work or doing anything for anybody else and spent that money only on meth, is it still not worth it to help the millions of other people that need it and would put it to good use aka in a way that would ultimately benefit society?

200x12/365= $6.58/day for food. Talk about living large..where do I sign up?
Online my brother, I know youre struggling. Shit ! how much you spending on food? I'm not even sure how to came up with spending 6.58 a day and not buying in bulk. I'd love an extra 200 for free food. Are you eating out everyday? I'm curious. 200 will not get you a months worth of groceries as a single male? He's not struggling either.... During college I ate out everyday, once a day. Under 15 every meal. Now with 4 people in my house. Around 400 gets a house full of food, that usually goes bad. Up north, me and two other guys combined around 293 to feast everyday. Its free money, and he's working the system.

Obviously you can't even entertain the idea that millions of jobs will be lost without trying to make it personal

So, have a good day..
