Hey all. Im around 9 weeks into flowering with my Grandaddy Purp. I've been flushing for a week. They look great but the purple color isnt really coming through. Any ideas on how to assist these little ladies to show their purple? They are under 12/12 obviously, with 400 hps, and the room is pretty damn warm during the day. Please let me know asap. I'm planning on chopping soon and could use all the help I can get. Word.

drop the temps a little bit

that usually helps them get a darker purple and may make your plants show more

and if that doesnt work they may be genetically different than the purple plants

yeah the room gets real warm during the day, i crack the window for fresh air most hot days
should i put an ac in or something? what temp would be best for dark hours?
im also probably harvesting the main cola, if not everything this weekend.
should i keep in complete darkness for the final 48 hours?
i read alotta places that saud this will help finish plant and produce more resin
let me know what yall think

To really get em to turn purp, you gotta put em in a fridge for a day or two prior to harvest, make sure there dry first:blsmoke:
Mmmm..interesting..does this really work?Have you ever done this man?

Cus I know you need to drop the temps lower for colorful buds...and that its mostly a genetic thing.

Most true indicas turn purple if the temps get low enough in the last few weeks of flowering!!

Try Kush,or Afghani!!

i do the dark method at the end but i go up to 72 hours of dark. i have read a thing about the first german scientists that had done this back when they were first supplying mj to pharmacies and they claim it increases some of the chemicals by 30%. i cant remember witch ones but it does seem to help mine out

just get it into real low temps and it will start to purple. In the winter I leave my white widow outside in the dark of my garage and it takes a purple tint after about 24 hours.

the only reason plants turn purple is because it runs in the genetics....

so if you have a purple bud bagseed the plant may turn purple

or you could try to dye it witch is fuckin retarted

so if the bagseed was just a regular bug with no purple..chances are you wont get a purple plant n the end

this is an interesting topic man...cus I didnt know you can force flower colors by sticking the dry buds in the fridge..has anyone else ever done this?

What if you simply put the plant in the fridge a few days before you cut and dry it??Will it die?

or can you use the fresh buds??they wont rot if you cover them somehow..with saran wrap..or get a mason jar!!
