likely on google, plants from test tubes is a great frikken book on amazon.

healthy clean small cutting is cleaned in a sonic toothbrush cleaner with a 3% bleach/h20 mix for a minute, then plain water for a bit, then 3% iso/water for a minute, water then repeated. masked, in a clean dedicated tent its transferred into sterile test tube with a sterile mix of murishage/agar mix and capped. It sits in there with others in racks under a small t5 fixture, sealed in the tent.
I know how to grow mold really well this way too, and sometimes I get lucky and mold free, sometimes with multiple transfers even. I get luckier over time.
the cutting doesnt root(good luck) but does grow callous and stays alive in an animated suspension(?) forever(?). I remove the cut and take another cut, or a clone, or a bit of stem/top whatever and with cloning gel and a sterile root cube I raise another copy or two.
I repeat those steps with the original cut and sometimes get lucky again when its stored. I've never successfully transferred more than 2x.
these are rootless cuttings, not rooted plants, they are not counted as plant counts only weight. I got choo all covered mang....

Just that for as long as I've been doing this (could be longer then you've been alive), and the time spent talking with grad students and their prof's at MSU and other AG schools. No one has ever seen an actual positive for any MV in cannabis. Our growers "co-op" has sent in over 300+ tissue samples for scanning electron microscope sampling (The real and only way to confirm any virus in plants) and we have never gotten a positive! EVER!

There are only a very small handful of any viral that affects Cannabis or Hops (it's closest relative in the plant world).

NONE of them are Mosaics! NO mosaic viral's in cannabis - PERIOD! College tested!

As far as the shown problem. That is a type of VERIEGATED!

To the OP. Are you using COBs? I thought I had my COBs turned up too high and burned them but this thread makes me second guess everything.

I am indeed using cobs, but have zero issues with all 5 other plants growing beside this one. I currently have the vero29 v7 pulling 200 watts for veg and 16-18 inches from the plants. This is a bit of a curve ball for me on my first serious grow.

Thank you everyone for your responses. As of now I'm going to keep the plant and let it run its course, but still keep it slightly isolated so it cannot touch any others. I would like to note that it has been in contact with at least 4 of my other plants. If this was somehow TMV then my other girls will surely be showing symptoms soon. Something I think that is important to take into consideration is that my tangie plant also leads my other 5 plants in growth by almost a full node. Two of the six beans I've popped were regular seeds, tangie included, all other are feminized. Here are some more pics if any of you would like a slightly closer view.

You really overreact man. I just asked if you have info on this genetic condition your mentioning. I couldnt find your mention of it in the other thread, maybe it was there, i missed it. I did check it out. I even said youve pretty much convinced me, to the point i deleted my post out of ignorance, to not continue to spread this bs. I thought it would help your argument if you gave info on the genetic condition you mention in your previous post. Id never heard of it. I get that youve been arguing with a lot of people over this so your frustrated but its not like i was that much of a dick about it. I was honestly just wanting to learn..

I wish I was growing something else other then Tangie to see if I had the same results. Is it possible that Tangie is sensitive to Cob lights?

I do agree that that is a bad variegation. And I have seen it on Greenhouse seeds northern light auto.

And on some leaves of a diesel cross too a couple of times.

First off. You should read up the background to these statements.

The "co-op" is simply a group of us longer term growers. We go back to before Medical. We call it a "co-op" for shits and giggles.
Many of them were present at the pig roast.

As for sending in samples:

#1: The grad students and the prof (new one, after the old retired) are a kind of an "ignore it" group. They are interested in the science.

#2: The samples are sent unlabeled and the reply is mailed. The samples are also not recognizable for what they are.

#3: The old prof had a lot to do with industrial hemp back from the early 40's until the early 50's. He stated that the hemp war production was huge in 43&44. It tapered off until the later 50's, when it was stopped. Both from "drug" pressure but, mainly because of synthetic fibers coming of age.

He retired in the 90's. He had a great interest in our quest for answers. He saw some interesting things going on with the industrial hemp back in the day, problem wise that is. And, I was directed to him from another person at Ole Miss. Whom "we" first asked about the subject....

I have been told that other schools of higher learning will also test for plant viral's by sending them in without revealing the genus. Simply ask for a Mosaic viral test. All they do is put it under a scanning electron microscope and look for the virus DNA strand. They then tell you Neg or Poss and what viral strain they found.
