Gotham Limited - ( Trainwreck x 79 Xmas bud )
QB 96s / Sunblaster Duals / QB 304 4000k supplemental.
Power 420watts
T5 Agromax pure uv / 10000k finisher
Layered soil mix - topdress feed
Kelp added after week 2 of flower
mycochum added week 3/4
MOAB added “ once “ at week 6/7 ....
Ph 6.6 -6.7

Well , time for the Gotham’s to come down. I scoped them and was seeing l was where I usually chop.
However , I never ran this strain before so I began to take notes about grow. I found I need to prune the suckers better and
maybe bump up some light on these. Flowers are chunky and dense , lights are causing new pistil growth . I’m thinking this
strain would make a good SCROG contender too next time.

No real trim was had from these , all flower . So no bonuses :wall:
Smell is a sweet piney gas ( my nose ) .

NOW the experiment ......
I began a simple trim on them for now and decided to leave in pot “ to dry “ ....
Now , I was thinking ( because I was high ) what if I continued the uv on the timer only ..... run 15 minute cycles every 3rd hour during a 12 / 12 cycle ? .... push those triches ! ! .... I’m not basing it on anything I seen , just thinking out loud. :bigjoint:

How often do quantum boards have to be replaced? And if one of those lights stops working, does the whole thing have to be replaced?

My original V1 QB 304 boards ( circa 2015 ) are still running strong ... I only took down for tent replacement. I do perpetual grows ,
so boards are running year round ( set at various cycles ) .... never had a chip go south or burn.
I never ran them hard ... probably why they lasted.

4 x 8 (15 strains) vegging under 4x 250w kits (304) boards.
I've always said that it's not the car, it's the driver, and the latest and greatest won't help if you can't master things, and it looks like you definitely have! Hopefully I can get back on track after 20 years with these newfangled 648s and can grow as nicely as you can one day!

That's all one fixture? Oh boy.....
It's pretty modular, I hung it by myself if youd believe that haha. I've had it in a few configurations, but I'm going for complete uniformity, so no need for individual adjustment. Its hung longways in the room right now, but after this run finishes, itll fit almost wall to wall hung the other way. I'm waiting until i put casters on my 4x4 tables so I can do 2 seperate 4x4 scrogs in a 4x8 area while being able to access all sides of the plants

Justify it however you want, Mann I just believe 3-4 smaller individual fixtures would make hanging much easier and safer. Also saves you the headache often trying to get that thing level. Too much back and forth to corners. Smaller fixtures just gives you more flexibility.

I agree with @Airwalker16 on this one. It looks like it's frowning (high in the middle, low on the ends) a bit already.

Isn't the frame a little high above the plants for boards run at just 75 watts a piece?

That was before I adjusted the light. I had to take all the plants out of the room to hang it. Im lacking at least 4 ratchet hangers before I can cut it in half. And this is temporary, I usually get a few more boards after each run, I'm just trying to find the spacing sweet spot for the boards. 4 of these boards are actually a 600w hlg kit that I cut up, I didnt like the hotspot it had in the middle of the footprint, so I started experimenting with spacing. I think I'm going to order some extruded aluminum and make a frame and mount the boards on with t nuts. This was my last configuration, I was able to space the boards about 1.75 inches closer together overall after adding 2 more boards and putting them all together. I think after all said and done i will settle on 5 hlg320-54 running 15 boards spaced along a 4x8ish
