Busted buying seeds online

Ordered five seeds from Spain last month from herbies. Have been tracking order and on the 20th a long delay at ya customs. Package came today, it was opened and taped back together with US customs inspection tape. No seeds inside and a letter from the us department of agriculture. It said they confiscated and destroyed cannabis seeds. I haven’t heard anything els???? Also said that it’s a quarantine of all soil, seeds, livestock, meat etc. seed company seems to be cool and reimbursing me. Any thought if I should be concerned legally????

Prob not, a couple seeds is very low on their radar. They confiscated your seeds, that will do them just fine. I am in northern ny and it's illegal here too! My seeds came just fine. During this covid thing might be better to stay with us companies

I doubt they care about five seeds. If they did they would have delivered the mail personally. Prob with a warrant attached to it

Aww sucks, sorry to hear that. Never heard of any follow up after "the letter." No one I know personally has ever had a package confiscated. I think it matters which customs center it enters the country through...or maybe country of origin? Idk.

Yeah I had seeds delivered years ago and they sent in a cd case like under the cd part. No issues. What us company do you use? Is that a dumb question???

California was the state that inspected it. I feel like that might help the cause haha

Also it seems almost funny that they still even send it. The package had ten small packs of tea bags. Was this customs fucking with me or the seed company throwing those in there to cover up smell if there is a smell???? Hha it would be fun as fuck to inspect mail

If you got their standard form letter than you got nothing to worry about. If they were going to give you trouble they would have shown up at your door. Put it out of your mind and move on. Shame they stopped them on you though.
