CS (colloidal silver) low ppm success.

I just had my first attempt at making CS and changing the sex of my regular strain (A true lady). I couldn't get a batch over 12-18ppm and I was told there was no chance of success. Once rooted, I gave the cuttings a couple of days to recover after throwing their roots, and adapt to the 250w MH, then started spraying them 3 x day with CS. After two days of treatment I flipped to 12/12 & continued 3 x day CS treatment. I put the treated plants in an airtight crate during dark hours (after giving them a good spray) to let the CS soak in over night. I also topped the plants 10 days into treatment to concentrate on the lower branches (and to keep them short and stout). I discontinued treatment after 14 days to let the plants show sex, and stopped the humid night schedule. I had 3 out of 4 plants convert to male and give me a nice amount of XX pollen.
Although it may be harder to turn your ladies into men with a low CS ppm, it is possible. Just gotta do the research and take great care in what you are doing. A bit of critical thinking and ingenuity doesn't hurt either. The growers that are claiming that seed banks are creating F1 seed from hermies are totally wrong. Pretty stoked with the success on my first attempt.

I must note a few things that I noticed during the process;

1. by the time I stopped treatment the plants weren't looking the best. But the male regrowth was rapid and healthy.

2. I think I can put the success with a low ppm down to the time the plants spent during dark hours in the humid crate. They still had beads of CS on them after I removed them from the crate when the light switched on.

3. The plants will not reveal sex whilst treating them. They will only reveal sex after the treatment is discontinued.

I hope this can help other growers create their own xx pollen.

Yeah I'm a little hard to understand at times. My clarity dies with my thc intake. Lol. It is a bit of a novel also.
Lool no bro I had no idea what collodale silver was until now , that's some cool shit know how to rhodium plate different metals so now that I read up on it , it all makes sense even after I smoked a fatty to my face

Yeah I find intriguing also. CS also has healing properties. Magic stuff. And it'll save me a shit tonne on F1 seeds. About to move onto feminising my critical kush. Happy days.

Congrats sounds so cool but u would almost need a completely separate area to do all that so it don't interfere with the grow

I don't have the room right now but possibly one day I would like to try this out or even crossing 2 different females that would be awesome

Yeah man, thats was tricky part. I only grow indoors and bloom outside, so it was a matter of separating the ladies from the lads before there nuts started to open. At that point I put the boys in the sunlight and put them in a dark room after they got there 12 hours of bloom time. It sounds like a pain, but if you love it, it's a pleasure.
I have Critical Kush and White Widow X AK-47. This first batch was just a trial on my standard local strain (nothing special). I'm looking forward to crossing these two already feminized strains to get F1 seed (experimental purposes), and also stabilising each of the strains.
It's worth a try when you get the time and space bro. Very fulfilling.

Ok, after much research and a shit tonne of experimentation I've found this guide to be the best for MAKING & MEASURING home made colloidal silver. Apparently tds/ppm meters only measure the ionic conductivity in the solution, and are unable to measure the suspended silver particles. This pic seems to be correct when making a 750ml batch of CS. BUT, you need to use an aerator (air pump) to achieve the results. After 10 hours of production my ppm was at 24, which is in fact 45, given that the suspended silver particles can't be measured with a tds. And it was, and remains clear after a couple of days. It's the strongest and clearest batch yet. The laser pointer is pure red when shining it through the liquid. The five main points are;

(A) USE AN AIR PUMP
(B) DO IT IN A DARK ROOM.
(C) USE DISTILLED WATER ONLY
(D) TRUST THE GUIDE SHOWN BELOW
(D) LEAVE IT THE FK ALONE DURING THE PROCESS

These are the most important factors. I hope this helps.
Here is the link to the website that the CS guide came from. https://www.colloidalsilver.com.au/Making-CS.html
But the pic and information on it tell the story.Screenshot_20210126-161317.jpg
