Found a half a carat diamond at work on the ground. Looks legit to me but i'm gonna take it to a jeweler on my day off. Whats a half a carat worth?

Its oval cut and idk anything about grade i'm not a jeweler

I did a glass test and it cut glass. I also did some of the other things i've read and it seems real.

Wish I still had a scope to check it for flaws.

diamonds are priced based on color, clarity, cut, carat size. if it's not clear and has a hint of yellow, the value goes down. if it's poorly cut the value goes down... maybe it's a perfect little diamond but being .5 carat, it's still nto going to be worth a ton because .5 carat is common.

is it a ring or just a loose diamond? don't you feel bad? whhat if someone is missing a diamond from their engagement ring or something?

I would feel bad if I was the one who lost it. lol

Anyways if anyone comes looking for it i'll turn it over. No big deal to me, I doubt the person even knows where they lost it.
