So basically you are calling me a liar? Here are the FACTS. I had spidermite, Bought SNS 209 on the advise of a Hydroponic store owner, I used it and 5 days later I didnt have any evidence of them. I picked off a few leaves, looked at them under a scope and they looked like a nuclear explosion went off on them...but you know it doesnt kill them, and its a sub par product...infact you are the one who has lied here. You said and I quote "SNS 209 might be a good product ( I doubt it )..so if you have used it like you say, why would you say that? SNAP!....Dude, look, you havent used it nor do you know what it does...your a donkey! hehe
 
I was visiting a friend last autumn and they had that (sns 209), and Organicide. It's not terrible, but it truly isn't any better than any other antiappetant. You don't get it that all those plant based anitappetants are about the same? In fact I wonder if like many foliar agents it may even hinder normal stomatic activity. Seriously just google Avid, or Floramite, that is the PRO SHIT, and it's like a couple sprays when your clones take root, and then just forget about it.

These plant based products are OK, but I guarantee if you have a mite infestation, and you use any of them for just one, or two applications, and then stop, you will barely even slow down some mites in the long run. Floramite, and Avid eradicate everything for like 50-60 days after just 2 sprays! Just do some research, and no I don't mean the manufacturer's websites.
 
A product called Sevin is pretty powerful stuff. I go to it when other methods fail. Its not insecticide but rather a real poison so don't use it during the last month and read the label carefully.
 
i've just recently tried sns, it's very effective and the smell is considerably preferable to neem. however the price is not so nice :-|

you can't let anything people on here say piss you off. you can share your results and try your best to ignore people's ignorance, if all else fails you can always use your ignore list. only ones you can't ignore are mods. i'm in your boat, went for my usual remedy, store was out, owner showed me sns, said if i wasn't impressed bring it back. It does the trick without a doubt, kills everything overnight. however there is a serious drawback to this stuff, dont spray it before you go to bed, it is very very pungent, and not in the best way though better than neem. and the price, fuck the price, 80 bucks for a liter, and the concentration, get this, 4oz sns to 20oz water... you get 4 uses out of that bottle. so you have a couple things to look at, 100% annihilation of all your creepy crawlies, at a very high cost.
 
Yeah but look man I've done retail, and I've known too many of the grow shops owners personally, and while they normally aren't lying to you, they ALWAYS recommend the product that lines their pockets the most, period. Grow store guys are great when you're starting out, but you'll see right away how they work and how the "best thing" is normally the one with the best pricing schedule (net, net baby). Not saying the shit won't work, I'm saying something different.
 
makes sense, although the sns works im not pleased with the price, i will be looking into avid or floramite
 
I just stumbled upon this thread and I am seriously concerned with the direction that it took in regards to AVID/FLORAMITE. Ladies and gentlemen, please DO NOT use either product on any plant that you intend to be consumed by humans!!! both AVID and FLORAMITE are registered as carcinogens with the the EPA and are not designed for use on fruits/veggies. AVID has an aprox 90 day (believe its actually 87 days but dont quote me on that) half life once its applied. that means its only half as toxic after 90 days.according to AVID's own research, it is still 2.9% toxic 365 days after application!!!! do you wanna smoke something that is still poisonous after 1 full year?!!!

FLORAMITE is not as bad but still has an aprox 30 day half life in the plant tissue. it is still way to toxic to use on a plant you intend to grow for consumption. I will admit that I do not know as much about FLORAMITE as I do about AVID. Everything I know about FLORAMITE I learned from the AVID rep when he convinced me to buy AVID for my ornamental pears instead of FLORAMITE. I have however done enough homework to know I wouldnt spray it on my vegetables.

Be safe people!!! Know what you are spraying and how long they are active in the plant. Dont risk the health of you or your patients!!!
 
I have gone through it for years tried it all and in the last year finally went and gave azatrol a shot. Its my god sent friend. I bought a bottle on amazon and also a pump sprayer with extending wand tip. Its a mix of 10 ml to 1 qt water then pump and spray plants 4- 5 days apart 3 to 4 times then can do once a week to just keep mite free. Stuff has worked when all else failed. I had a new start of spider mites hit them with first dose didnt see any the next day. I waited hit plants again as this gets hiders and any larva. 4 days again I hit to make sure the cycle was completely broken and have not seen a trace again. I bought a big bottle as a I live near lots of evergreens and did my entire area and it took care of a lotta stuff. Its food grade safe can be used up til day before harvest. It repelss as they hate the smell of it which to humans not much of a smell and none the next day.
 
For those who use hydroponic growing methods, a Lucas formula substitution that solves everything. An improbable panacea: Use the micro that is suggested in the 2 part Lucas formula but replace the bloom with this DIY 2 part bloom. 997 grams of MKP ( 50 lb. bag is $200) topped up to 1 gallon with hot pure water. 668 grams of Epsom salt topped off to a gallon in a separate container. Use the store bought GH micro. Follow the Lucas formula directions but instead of adding just 16 ml per gallon of the single bloom formula , you will add 16 ml per gallon of the MKP and the Epsom. First add the micro, then the Epsom and finally the MKP. What happens after this? Everything except your plants die. Your plants will take off because of the proper potassium levels that you couldn't have possibly had before if you were only using the Lucas 2 part. Also, you won't get powdery mildew. All without using insecticide. Any questions?

Fuck mighty wash its garbage. Forbid is only for the professional gardener. There are no substitute even close
 
Pet peroxide never killed anything for me. I'm using soil and the best was compost. Bugs hate compost.have not had a single bug since using compost the last couple years. Except for predatory mites. But they only eat other bugs then die off when no more bugs to eat.

I told you "what" worked for me and has been working splendidly for me for a few years now. Of course it makes no sense at first , that a type of fertilizer mix will get rid (I mean utterly annihilate ) mites , aphids and whiteflies. But it does and if you think about it Safers soap is a pesticide that uses potassium as the active ingredient (a form that wets and spreads well for foliar application). My hydroponic nutrient recommendation is very high in potassium. Maybe that's why it works?? Maybe.

I need not go through bug wars anymore for as long as I live. Aphids surround the my property yet they are no longer a problem indoors (at either of my locations) .I've posted this info on 3 different threads on the Bugs section and not a living soul takes it seriously, yet it is the very "wrath of God card" that anybody with a bug problem seeks. Crazy, crazy world. I'm handing everybody who does hydro a 100% surefire solution that also happens to be a PK boost formula.

Lets think about this. It kills bugs and makes your plants thrive.Oh, wait... I figured it out. My advice doesn't have a pretty colorful product label associated with it. Sorry for the sarcasm but I gave advice that can literally render the bug section obsolete(for hydro growers) and not only do I get "what" it gets ignored. Keep spraying away.

Does anybody have a total solution that makes the buds explode and kills bugs simultaneously and is always working just as long as you change water with the same frequency as you normally would? Please consider my aforementioned alternative (its for hydro not soil, if you do soil please disregard).
 
HOLLY FUCK "Forbid 4F" I would rather spray Suspend SC. Deltametherin or Spiromesifen... you only need 0.6-1.2ml per gallon of 4.75% deltametherin. Is Forbid 4F really $200 for 8oz?
