nearly any kush is great for that and i feel the afgani mixes such as af-gooy are great. i would look for high producing kushes and train them for tons of small nodes, that would make a ton of bud that would be great for it along with all the sugary leaf matter that surrounds them as opposed to forming a few large colas. from a edible standpoint it makes more sense that way i feel

I just finished an OG#18 from Reserva Privada, and I have to say that it was some of the best pot I have grown by far. It has a sweet n sour chemical taste to it, and it just knocks you on your ass with a complete body stone. After my first toke my whole body and head gets warm and fuzzy. No matter how much liquids I drink I still have cotton mouth after I smoke some. I'm not a MMJ patient, but I imagine that this with be a good medical strain. Noobie smokers beware! I can't imagine smoking weed like this for one of your first times. lol!

yeah i was looking at the cbd strains it seemed like most of the good ones were currently sold out but i think i want to try some in the future.... you guys listed so many good strains so far and i know there are alot more! lol i'm going to just have to pick some randomly because i can't decide which i would want.... I think i will definitely throw in a kush strain with the order though, the og18 sounds good haha

now you're talkin' my language, Go for Devil by Mr. Nice, its mostly afghani with some skunk in it, very medicinal, very potent. gets me fucked up, same goes for super crystal, really good shiva genetics in it. smoke too much of either, you are gonna be stuck on a couch for sure, Red Eye Coyote is also a rare clone only, if you can get your hands on that.

I second the herijuana! Just finished a grow thats been curing 5 weeks. Very strong numbing body high. I have had 2 back surgeries and one knee procedure. All arthritis related. Been on Vicodin, morphine, oxy's on and off for 15 years. Since Ive been vaping this, I can make it through the day without ANY opiates!! I love it, my friends Ive shared it with love it also. (Even though Im hoarding the rest) I planted 3 and got 2 girls. I did the uncle bens topping method and vegged 4 weeks, and flowered for 9 weeks. Yielded 4 oz's under a 250 hps in 2 gallon pots.

as i expect most of the replies will be only about stony strains as that's what people usually think of as med use, i'm going to name some sativa dominants that have medical uses too
depressed? 8 miles high has a nice happy buzz that doesn't couchlock, but isn't racy either. it just wants to have fun
lacking motivation, especially do to depression? just try sitting still on kali mist! that was my plan wheni was gifted a gram, and instead i wound up cleaning my apartment and fish tanks grinning from ear to ear with shroom level bliss
pain reduction? motivation? depression? high quality seeds haze x skunk is REAL meds!!! it saved my life by getting me to stop choking to death every morning on beer burps gone bad AND i ended up losing something like 10 pounds on it in just a month by ignoring hunger pangs. once i noticed i'd lost a shitload of weight, i started adding crunches to my routine. sadly, right when i started turning my life around, the local scum i'm all but hunting tried to drag me back down and i have something for them pussies, whichever ones want to get in my face. ya wanna drag me down, i'm taking your ass with me fucker. shit, if i had some haze skunk on me right now, i might be more proactive in finding out exactly whose neck i should be stomping and defintely less stressed

yeah those sound like some great strains, sativas definitely are useful too. For right now im focusing on getting a strong indica mostly because of the healing properties (probably from the cbd) but i surely want to get some sativas in the future too for those exact reasons. A few others i want to try are C99 and sour diesel. I tried the sour once and wow that was a strong smoke! lol

if you prefer couchlock, then yeah, C99 will be more your thing as it's not as speedy as kali mist. actually, stonier skunk #1 is what you really want there
if you want couchlock with a ton of euphoria, people love them some jillybean as it's supposed to be one of the most euphoric strains. it has C99, skunk #1 & romulan in it... all notoriously euphoric strains with C99 being the most energetic of the 3.
while i don't like indicas at all really, i can tolerate sour cream's euphoric lightly stony mid buzz, not unlike skunk #1, but it's just so freakin' delicious, i love it for the scent and flavor. it should be on anyone's list looking for a stone with some class. i'll take it's flavor over overrated blueberry any day as it's way more authentic the BB's bland "single grain of artificially flavored blueberry sugar on your tongue" flavor. i'm not exactly a fan of bitter berries in general anyways though. an indica has to be pretty freakin' special for me to give it the tiniest bit of respect.
i like everything i've tried by DNA for above average quality in buzz and/or flavor. i might not go for stony skunk #1, but DNA's lemon skunk has a nicer lemongrass flavor and a much more neutral than stony euphoric high that i actually liked. it also looks freakin' sexy with it's distinctive golden glow. i almost named it earlier as an anti-depressant.
if weed ever got legalized, the purveyors of useless addictive anti-depressants that are more likely to make you commit suicide would be out of fucking business in a heartbeat and THAT is why weed is illegal. it would take money away from leeches that exploit their fellow citizens. shit, back when i was smoking nothing but columbian gold for a few years and often times laughing my ass off, i'd quit smoking voluntarily after a month or so when the buzz would start degrading to stone and the highs stopped. try that on any ofthe other drug families! ONLY hallucinogens are non-addictive no matter what mis-info to flat out lies you're told

Yeah i think there is really a time for all strains. Sativas are definitely great for most of the day but you can't beat an indica for night time. Sativas definitely for depression and energy/motivation, but i think indicas are really best for the healing properties when made into an oil, probably from the cbd content. Yeah those scumbags would be out of business no doubt haha. I think there are many more reasons too. The huge potential cannabis oil has to heal would put out most doctors and their poison they give. Just juicing the leaves alone is extremely healthy and turn a life completely around.... Industrial hemp wayyyyy more efficient that chopping down trees...so many uses and such a fast strong crop. There's a million reasons those pieces of shit have made it illegal....but all we can do is just keep spreading the word and keep using the plant as we are intended to.
While I know this is a pot forum, to blast modern medicine is kind of silly. Just like indicas and sativas, there are also times, places when something like prozac, valium, xanax is affective. Wasnt long ago hazey thought if you smoked indica for any reason you should be maimed, mutilated, and killed. Fact.

Motrin is a better anti-inflammatory drug than any cannabis product (period).
Not as fun to use, granted, but in terms of actually reducing inflammation. . .that's the way to go.

lol ok if you want to take man made drugs by all means you can do so, personally i don't believe in using anything but natural. Sure i think man made drugs certainly can have their times to be used but most of those should be more extreme cases. It just can't be good to pop an aspirin or whatever every time you get a headache. But hey that's why we can all choose what to do. I have found that eating a healthy diet, getting moderate exercise, and using natural herbs and supplements to lead to a healthy good feeling life style. Anyhow i would like to keep this thread about medical strains that's why i made it.

Some people, like my mom and my sisters all take ibuprofen every day. They constantly have headaches. Same with my wife. I'd hypothesize they have such frequent episodes because of their habitual use of Ibuprofen. When they don't have it, their bodies create these physical withdrawal symptoms. That's my thought, anyway.
First of all, herb doesn't do this, and second, it will make you feel a lot better than motrin will even if it's technically less effective.

i know people love herijuana, i like it alot, my problem was it wasn't as versatile as another indica i've grown and its yield is medium at best on the keeper phenotype. i've seen others plants and mine wasn't up to snuff. i know my pheno i had from herijuana was pretty uniform, alot of pain relief and not so strong head effects zero paranoia(i like that) and not a bad case of red eye despite cbd, perfect meds for pain relief if that is what you looking for, if you want sleep meds, go for a different indica unless you plan on taking herijuana past its prime date, reduced quality smoke imo after about 65 days. severe couchlock though.
