Maybe that's just me. New account, first post - not in Introduce Yourself or Newbie Central. Tug at the heartstrings, hint that you are broke and in need of seeds. Maybe I'm just jaded by all the scams and fakes on the Internet. I wasn't sure, so I didn't bother to reply. If this person was real, I think they can still put in a little effort on their own - maybe look around RIU and join in discussions rather than just wait for a reply to something that felt to much like begging for seeds.
A few days later, the OP still had just the one post. That still didn't prove anything. However, I suggested my theory not to attack "her" but in defense of employedmale - a RIU member that I do not know but seems to be a contributing member on these forums - and at a glance not to attack "single moms" but to talk growing.
The OP left less than 10 minutes after making the post - no sign since. So yeah, I think it was trolling for seeds or something. Does that even work?
The single mom is welcome to reply, "I'm really a single mom." I will believe her. But then, single mom, please put in a little effort! Don't sound like you're just begging for seeds. Look around, join in discussions. You don't even have to know how to grow - just post some funny pictures in one of those threads or something. Get to know RIU and meet some people here. It ain't hard and can even be fun.
I am forever the optimist, I tried to honestly help - no skin off of my back.
But if "she" is really a "single mom" & even a bit cute - a pic or two here will get "her" mobbed.

Thanks for knocking me down Cheechako. Your right, I am realitively new here also. I don't have the right to affront someone who might have joined and posted in a bad state. And I appologize for that. But you brought something to my attention and that is you don't know me, and that goes for many of you. I, myself have never gone to Newbie Central and introduced myself. I have just been trolling for ideas and recomendations. Yes I contribute, mostly it's about how I am growing or I take a minute to bitch-slap someone who seems to think they are on Craig's List. But overall, I am in awe of some of the people on here willing to share their years under the lamps. I have learned a lot and I owe this community. So next stop, Newbie Central for a proper introduction.

That is the "bad" new user. You're new too. I don't know you, though - we hang in different threads. But I took a glance at your profile. As far as I can tell, you are active in various grow threads. I don't think you have to make an intro post somewhere. I didn't. I think it is cool that you are apparently contributing here.
I took a glance at Yo.Adrienne's profile. Still hasn't come back. Still only the one post about her lack of seeds.
So, no man... not knocking you down at all. I think active members are cool. I con't care if you posted an introduction somewhere - didn't seem to help Yo.Adrienne.
