Insects and Guerrilla Grows.

So I just went to top a few plants and found the first 4 severely damaged by insects. Since bringing a camera in there is out of the question, I'll describe the damage as best I can. Brown curling leaves as though they were severely infested with spider mites, but there are rust colored spots I have never seen before. I should not have planted here, last time I had this issue was 5 years ago near a water source. But these have zero water anywhere within 500 yards, and the little bastards don't touch any of the native plants...just the cannabis.

Oddly enough, I have a few more about 500 yards away that are doing very well...now I know better.

I'm considering returning with a broad spectrum organic pesticide, if I don't they won't last the weekend. Yet, I hesitate b/c I have the feeling it will be an on-going issue all summer long. And the location is nasty to begin with, even covered with DEET you get tore up by horseflies etc. That's why I chose it to begin with.

So I need your opinions please. Do I:

A. Battle the insects all summer.
B. Devote more time to the other 2 sites and simply abandon site 1 to the elements.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Upon further thought, just came to realize it isn't insects but rather a fungal or bacteria disease. Yet I cannot find any via search engines that match the rust colored spotting on leaves.

Oh well, won't be planting there again.

either get some strong shit (malathion etc), or get a strain that will put up with your insects/climate better. I have found there's no use using anything other than strong pesticides when guerrilla growing if you have to defend from insects, because you cant apply it every day/ every few days.

but if the insects are eating your plant, that means it doesn't belong in that part of the forest

I don't think it's an insect problem, but rather some type fungal/bacterial disease. I should have brought some damaged leaves home and then photographed...duh.

I'll do so upon my next visit. It almost looks like they've been sprayed with something, half the fan leaves are dead.

bring a pic, sounds like powdery mildew, in which case google will help ya out with that.
