1st Grow: 138w CFL + 240w LED: Afghani Kush, Hindu Kush, Bubba X OG Kush, Blue Dream

All i dream about, all i see when i close my eyes is my beautiful weed plant sandy.

This is my first serious attempt at growing. The flowering plant "Sandy" is Blue Dream, around 2 weeks into flowering. The other clones include Afghani Kush, Hindu Kush, Bubba x OG Kush, and Sea Weed. See if you can distinguish between the strains. Any advice about lighting, or the setup is welcome and wanted.

Here it is, week 3 of the clones lives here. Just ordered some nice sunblaze T5 florescent lights for them. 16,000 lumens?? Baller. The LED is also working wonders on the plants flowering.

I just picked up one of their 2011 models this morning not ten minutes ago. It's the same price as the 2010 model only now they claim six band but the pic looks the same as the old one so i guess ill find out when i get it i figured fuck it same price might as well see. Should be grabbing up another around christmas

Im not going to be using any fluros either but yes i will be using the same light, i wana try and veg and flower 8 plants. I will be using hydro ton rocks and soil as the medium i'll also prob throw in some guano for extra nutes. I heard its good to have a red light in your grow room on when your grow light is off to help stimulate plant growth even while they sleep. Keep it up man cant wait to see more pics! Blaze on :leaf:

You want NO light while plants sleep bro. Might be ok through veg but flower time you better make sure its BLACK in there during your 12 hr dark period

So the LEDs turned out to be pretty strong, it started to dry out and burn leaves. Had a noticeably negative effect on the tricombs.

Anyways, here is an update with pics taken today and a few days ago.

Hey i just ordered the light this weekend and should get it by next week. What exactly do you mean when you say the light is pretty strong?? Besides that how has the light worked for you??Sorry for all the questions its just i think your the only thread i've found using this light thanks alot man! Blaze On!

What I mean by "pretty strong" is that the lights will burn your plants if you keep it within probably 4 inches. It melted down a lot of tricombs into the leaves, just doesn't look as crystaly in some places. The light is awesome, I'm hoping to get another one soon.

Really?? Hmm have to take that into consideration. I'm glad to hear you like the light im very excited to start my grow after thanksgiving.Like i said i'll be vegging 24/24 around 8 plants for prob 2-3 weeks then most likley switch to 12/12 after. I used to grow with HPS and MH but they just eat up the eletcisty bill and radiate alot of heat. How much heat comes off these panels? This is all very new to me because ive never used LED before. Do you think that veggin them for that long should be long enough? Any help is very much appreciated!I cant wait to see more pics! Blaze on my man

2-3 weeks will give a shitty yield with kush but doable with the blue dream. Id do atleast 6 weeks, be lucky to get 1 Oz a plant with kush

The LED light WILL BURN your plant if you keep it to close! With my personal experience you are going to need at least 6in of room between the top of the plant and the light. Electricity bill = cheeeeaaaaaaap.

I noticed you got a grow tent, great idea they work really well. It looks like your gals are doing pretty well. How long have you been flowering for?? I just put my babies under my light last night i have 5 blue dream and 5 afgoo, i could tell they went into a little stress because the leaves were flippin out by turning and acting droopy. But i looked this morning and they seem to be taking to the light. How did yours act when you first put them under?

My plants all love the light, with no noticeable stress. The Blue Dream and Wicked Sage should be ready to harvest in 7-10 days.
