-To sum up, one could say that keys exist in the three world of spirit, soul and body. There are three keys, therefore, which together represent the one key that is to be found only on high. Hermes Trismegistus called this one key that opens all doors Telesma, and said that it was 'the strength of all strengths which overcomes every subtle thing and penetrates every solid substance'. Telesma is a force that comes from the sun, and that is where you must go to look for it. When you are contemplating the sun, ask it to show you this key that will give you eternal life.

...I happen to be listening to a talk on Shin, the 4 pronged Shin. "The World to Come - Briah". The unfolding of the 3 primary forces into 4. The 4th is the feminine aspect of the Holy Spirit. Ma...Ma?
Yes, God laughs, I know this  . I know that Christ was the embodiment, as others have been. When I read things that 'Christ said', I know that it was a 'take' on what that primary force was trying to get across to us. Your example of John is the same. He was talking from 'nous'.
...Arjuna picks God and not the world. Or, as Jesus said "be in the world but not of the world". Would you agree? :)
...thanks, I'm glad you posted that. "Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration." <---that is something I've read before in my travels :) I was just listening to a lecture which described something similar to what you wrote. The images are there to be observed, then 'let go'. I guess any form of 'answer' comes after more or less forgetting about it.
"less I'd say" - wow, that fits. I've been confused about where to stand with the pot. I works in so many ways that I can't describe. I've done 7 years of other meds and know the difference. I'm not choosing pot as a medicine to have some fun, though at times it can be 'fun'. Thanks for your thoughts on that, it's appreciated. "nanner to itself" - awesome imagery! I literally 'saw' a mind drifting away with its own confusion running about. Reminded me of an atom
...I want to ask also (if it's alright) - how does pot fit in all of this for you? Wouldn't it seem to be something that clouds what should be clear?
...I see. Thanks for that. I've been 'seeing' it more than usual lately. I think I'm quite vigilant about not getting too wrapped up in it. It's too easy to make everything out to be of that nature.
To me the freedom is from the assaultive mind. Re-writing the past, (what I should have said) worry, fear, uncertainty,. doubt. Nothing to do with afterlife, it's Now Life.
Whatever quality arises –
Light, activity, delusion –
He neither dislikes its presence
Nor desires it when it is not there.
He who is unattached,
who is not disturbed by the gunas,
who is firmly rooted and knows
that only the gunas are acting
who is equally self-contained
in pain or pleasure, in happiness
or sorrow, who is content
with whatever happens, who sees
dirt, rocks, and gold as equal,
who is unperturbed amid praise
or blame of himself, indifferent,
to honor and to disgrace,
serene in success and failure,
impartial to friend and foe,
unattached to action – that man
has gone beyond the three gunas.
He who faithfully serves me
with the yoga of devotion, going
beyond the three gunas, is ready
to attain the ultimate freedom.

*not quite there
When we first started talking here, we discussed the three primary forces without me even realizing it. *sheepish grin* Here's something I read this morning. (sorry for the flood :) )

Part 1 of this post - In the Bhagavad Gita, Arjuna asks Krishna how he can recognize the man who has gone beyond the three gunas, and what has he done to have gone beyond them? Krishna replies by listing the characteristics of such a person and by reiterating the central theme in the Gita: non-attachment to the fruits of one's labor:
Hey man, I have a couple of minutes. Going to try and keep the weekdays free from here, give myself time on the evenings and weekends. Had some time to think about it.
...really man, use the email address I pm'd you - no names necessary (if that's a concern). I would like to continue with our mutual interests! Thanks for the word on the blue hue, I'm still fairly 'scared' about it, and you are very helpful! These last 7-8 years have been nuts (in both good and bad ways), too much fear of a more 'concrete' end. I've had help from a lot of qualified people but you've made it more palpable. Kind of amazing, really.
