I would just look into the different brands of nutrient then worry about ppm I would say to start of mixing the way the nutrients recommend,then check your ppm and then you have a base star ting point! I recommend (general hydroponics) 3 part flora series for hydro and soil (grow-micro-bloom)

I feed more in veg to get the roots going I start out feeding every 2 hours then back it down to 3 feedings a day by the start of bloom and keep it at 3 feedings a day threw bloom. and believe it or not the drink more nutrient when you feed them less you always feed them less in bloom than in veg.

I start at 600 ppm and then bump it way up after the first week like 1600 ppm you should start of light the first week and I would do the second feeding about half way threw the 18 hours

DO NOT FEED IT RIGHT BEFORE LIGHT OUT IT COULD BURN THE ROOTS they don't use nutrient when the lights are off

general hydroponics 3 part flora series best that money can buy and it is reasonably priced. stay away from advanced nutrients if your looking for a good price.I think GH blows AN out of the water.
