    Cloning from plants already outside

Thanks alot guys. C.Indica: Did you mean like let them root outside? I didn't think about that, I figured have them in a controlled enviro. I've heard in the shade will work though correct? Is this what you meant? They will ultimately be right back outdoors anyways (just indoor to root)...

    Cloning from plants already outside

Hi guys, I have some plants outside and took some clones off them a couple of days ago. I've cloned indoor before and had great success but this is something new. Someone told me its almost impossible to do and they will die. Someone else says he does this every year over and over and...

Good Soil and a Burlap Sac

Last year I used a bunch of these sacs and they worked great. The bags basically rotted and fell apart if you tried to move them after about 6 weeks but by that time the roots are well into the ground. Very successful method for outdoor grows. I fed them every 2-3 weeks and they were amazing in...

what to do with Gangster Deer?

I'd say go to a garden center/store. There are a few companies who sell spray that keeps deer/other animals off. I've used 2 different sprays (one was $15/bottle, one $30) and they both worked great. Im in an area with tons of deer and they're also not scared of humans. I have to spray every 1-2...

    Ontario Area Growers And Flowing

i have a couple plants each of 2 different types. the first are about 5 weeks into flowering, the second probably only 2 weeks in at most.. location central ontario.. doesn't need the 12/12 light, basically as the days become shorter different types are triggered into flowering at different...

    Something Chewing on Stems

definitely rats. i've had the same problem. rat poison will do the trick. i usually find small dead rats within 5 days. tape them so they can't continue to chew the same spot or the plant will fall over and you'll be outta luck.

i always find grasshoppers on leaves but they don't seem to really damage them much. maybe a couple little holes but nothing that really makes a difference. i just flick them off.

    hanging outside?

hey guys, i have a couple plants outdoors that are doing really well. due to living with to many people i can't really hang them indoors and don't have access to a shed. i was thinking maybe hang them outside in the forest in the shade with a tarp a foot or two above so they don't get to wet...

    Cloning/Lighting question

Hi guys, So I'm fairly new to cloning. I recently did my first attempt and after 2 weeks 19 of my 20 had rooted which i was happy with. I used fluorescent tube lighting, i think they were 40 watts each. My question is can clones be started under a regular 75 watt household lightbulb? Today I...

    When is it too late?

ya you'll be fine. the only advantage of having them out earlier is longer vegging time. where i live the most growth takes place from june 1st to late july

    Growing in northeast...

in western newyork we put them out between the 4th week of may to the first week of june. this gives them 8-9 weeks of solid vegging time and then they usually finish flowering late september (growing a typical 8 week flowering strain). the best is to get a 6-7 week early flowering strain...

my pics for the grow site

looks like a good area. from the pics looks like you'll find a couple spots where light should make it through. be careful not to take the same path to your plants every time. try and take a different route every time. and i lost quite a few plants to deers last year. it was so sad. when i put...

    Drying crop outdoors.

ive also been thinking about finding a effective/safe way to dry outdoors. last summer i dried my plants in my friends basement. we sealed a large room and everything and tried everything we could to not let the smell out.. by the next night his girlfriend was having trouble sleeping because the...

    FLIR in helicopters(outdoor)

i've also heard this before. they dont find it all because the choppers still have to be at a reasonably low level to use the technology. and there's so many millions of acres to fly over that they can only get to a certain portion. the cost of flying is to expensive therefore they cant and...

Good Soil and a Burlap Sac

Oops I hadn't read all 7 pages, only the first before that last post. I googled burlap sac's and figured it out. I'm very interested in this and I will be doing a good share of my growing in these this year. For the guys questioning the price of Pro-mix it is 100% worth it. In canada it cost's...

Good Soil and a Burlap Sac

Hi, What exactly is a Burlap sac? I've used soil bags before and they work well to. They have holes in the bottom to let the roots out and moisture in and i fill 4/5 full and leave the top fully open. Maybe your sac's are better. Please explain what they are. Thanks

    outdoor plans prep

ive used pots on mushy swamp land like your describing and it worked. a couple holes in the bottom is ok, try and have the buckets sink only a couple inches into the mush. but beware that late in the season it may dry up so you may need to water it more often at this point. and go big for the...
