no on your first grow it is unlikely that you will get 200/300g your first grow probably a bit optimistic ....you can clone or plant new seeds (if you want variety)......no 1000w is not nessesary ...( if you want to get 200/300g per plant its probably a needed) a 400 or 600 would be...

keep light from reaching the water ....mylar discs on the top of buckets and could also cover res too reflect light (will help temps and plants more light bounced back) I just hand wash my buckets once a week with hot water and I don't have this problem....

just ph it every few days if it needs ph down then do it its natural to fluctuate ,ph rises in veg and lowers in bloom or visa versa (only slightly)
