6 1k DE with no A/C?

Make sure to start a journal as I would love to follow along
It’s allways the way we do it over here, only now are very large commercial grows starting to use water cooled ac. An ac unit on a house in Britain is a big no no haha. Most prefer to use lung rooms, air exchange can take care of any heat trust me, it might take 4 12inch fans but it works.

@bk78 i will, I was pondering earlier, I’d like to show the full build also, I’ve never been any good at doing journals but if I can put a tutorial out there, something that shows how to convert a standard double bedroom in the U.K. into A scaled down high output operation.

Believe it or not (last thread we spoke) I handle myself pretty well in the grow room. So I’m not expecting any catastrophic problems, more teething problems (which I’d document for the sake of the tutorial). I’ve grown in this climate for a long time, and can say without a doubt that 8” of high power rvk with minimal obstacles (airflow) will handle more than 1000w of heat. So it’s just a case of doing the maths and scaling up.

of course I would love to have ac though! But we simply can’t, unless it’s mains water cooled, and those ones aren’t in our budget unfortunately

My 8” fan can’t even come close to handle the heat in the summer off my LED. It must be a winter grow you’re planning I take it?

@bk78 No certainly not, the high power 8”rvk moves 1008 cubic meters of air per hour. This is more than enough, we flower at night over here cos it costs more for the cops to fly helicopters at night

i don't see how buying multiple industrial dehumidifiers is better than sealing the room and having an AC? Those dehumidifers will cost you more than an AC. And an AC will also do some serious dehumidification during lights on.

if you are venting enough to cool 6X1000w de then your humidity is going to be whatever the humidity outside is.

Like I said before, ac is a big giveaway, only the water cooled opticlimates would suffice and they aren’t in our budget.

Please stop worrying about temps, I am a real grower, environment IS WHAT I SAY! I’ve grew here for a long long time a watt is a watt, vs ambient vs lungroom, I got this covered. Heat is not an issue

So you plan on putting multiple 12” holes throughout your friends house into different rooms?
No what we usually do is cut one hole, or if there is a spare doorway we put a piece of 6” kingspan in the doorway and cut multiple holes out of that

I would sooner make a false wall hang 3-4 window shakers. And use two fans to vent the heat out of the other side of the ACs. There are lots of different ways to do things. But venting a 6 light DE setup is doable if it's cold where you live, but then just forget about controlling humidity really.
