2.25 sq. ft. White Widow Fem Seed from Crop King. Plant grown in 3gal smart pot with soil mix: 6 parts organic potting mix, 1.5 perlite, 1 vermiculite, 2 worm castings a bit of blood and bone meal. Pot is 8.5" high and scrog net is at 15.5" leaving the plant currently at 7 inches tall(under the net). Topped once above node 5. Vegged for 52 days and is at day 7 flower in pic (day 9 now). Vegged under a 135 true watt led. Added 2x 40w 2700k cfls at the beginning of flower.Used Neptune's Harvest Organic fish+kelp fert during veg NPK is 2-3-1. For flower I'm using a 12-55-6 fert. Started at 1/4 feeding and had no issues so will move to 1/2 str. after normal ph'd water. I hate to ask a yield question but as a first grower i have no clue what to expect and want to have some kind of ball park estimate. Any help or tips would be much appreciated. Thank you :bigjoint:

Much too early to even give a guess as to the yield, take care of those plants, fatten those buds when the time comes. Concentrate on your grow, quality etc.
You will be rewarded, keep notes of all that you do,Mitch will help you greatly for the questions you will have next time.

Figure an oz per square foot barring particularly good or bad gardening skills, or insufficient light / nutrition (or under/over watering)

Getting at least 2 oz. for me would make it a big success but anything under 1.5 and I'd probably be let down lol. So far the plants look very healthy to me! Thanks for your input jeroly :).

We are now in week 6! Here are the buds and cannopy. Are these looking good for their stage and does anyone have a yield estimate or still too early?IMG_20160316_094556255.jpg IMG_20160315_025013104.jpg IMG_20160316_094710104.jpg IMG_20160316_094659720.jpg

looks like you got about 3 more weeks or so, the buds havent begun to swell and they swell for at least 14 days. remember when you harvest, and trim and get ready to hang those babys to dry, whatever you look at will reduce in size by 75%. im willing to bet you will get about 5 oz dry being that its your first grow and it always takes some time to fine tune a grow no matter how much reading you do. regardless, 56 day veg, 5 oz, first grow, hell yeah dude. i remember my first crop, i was freaking out during the drying because i kept smelling grassy hay. Be patient! wait til those buds are very dry before you throw them in a mason jar. those main stems to the colas should almost snap when you bend them before you even consider jaring them.

Don't get me wrong I would love 5 oz but is that realistic being that I'm running under 200w in a 1.5'x1.5' area?

if you dont cut it early and wait for the plant to fully swell and the calyxes consume the pistils, i stand with my 5oz.

i would also note that one of the major benefits to led is distance. if youre working with that small of a space, i would lower that light. i realize yourr trying to get spred, but a 200w panel should be at least 10 inches across. meaning the spread will easly reach out 1.5 feet. every inch counts in between the colas and light source. if you can get a good spread still id lower it to 6 inches above the canopy. if that doesnt spread well, try 7 inches, 8 inches, so on so on. one of my plants is 1 inch under my large pannel and its loving it.

If you are experimenting with light height on established plants,I suggest lowering your light no more than 3inches per day,and watch your plants.Unless you already know how the strain reacts to your light intensity. If you lower it too low too fast you will bleach, dryout, curl leaves which is very bad for photosynthesis.Too low,too fast and even a 100watt led can curl or damage leaves.

Thanks for all the replies! I'm using the mars300 which I believe has 145 true watts. It reccomends 12" distance from cannopy which is right where the taller buds are sitting. Some of the shorter ones might be 14-15". I heard that leds too close to the cannopy, even if the temp is under control, will cause harm such as bleaching. Are you all saying you believe it would be safe to reduce the distance to say... 10 inches or maybe even lower without causing harm? (I also have a 40w 2700k CFL hanging in there too if that makes a difference :P)
