I like that idea. It would actually just be $498 for me to get 16 shipped to me after the RIU10 code, so even cheaper.
The spread would kick ass. No red, but I still really like this idea.

Actually the a series has already a potentiometer. The series B you should add one. Buy the qb132 if you only buy that. If you want to match the spectrum of the 660R buy qb120 4000k and add 660 nm red at the rate of 88.5 watts of 4000k + 11.5 watts of 660nm. The second solution is more expensive but you get the best coverage and the best spectrum. When you decide on the boards let me know and I will help you chose a driver.

And acutually the reason I recommend the a series is that it can be run up to 20% higher. In the qb 120 case that would be useful, for the the qb132 you can buy a or b.

Just because I don't have the time to tinker as much, I'm going with the 132s, to make the build easier.
I'm going with 16 x QB132s, and a pair of HLG-480H-C2100A from Meanwell. Sound about right? Besides the frame stuff, is there really anything else? I guess I can pick up some molex connectors, unless they come with enough.
