300W LED Closet Trial Grow

Moved to a new apt and could not resist the dead space in the closet.
Was on limited budget so equipment is not top of the line. Just wanted to get a feel for space and heat/sound.

Summed up Details:
20" x 30" x 5' tent
300W Full Spectrum LED (cheap brand)
2 x 8" inline fans on controller
8" carbon filter
2 x 3 gal Fox Farm Ocean Forest
Fox Farm Big Bloom at late stage of flower

Unknown lowrider hybrids obtained from a friend who mumbled some strains..

Pheno1 & Pheno2 are my names for them..
Pheno1 is the more matured, im thinking another week for her, will make 8 weeks of flower.
Unfortunately cant find my scope to check trichs so going to harvest on naked eye..

Im upgrading or adding a light for my next round and going with 4 plants.

Getting closer, still filling out.. Still not seeing much change in the trichs, about 50% orange and filling in on pheno1..

Pheno2 is still about 2 weeks out I think.. (2 pics)

looks good, one looks about ready, its not all about trics, especially in autos, some just dont change or do it very late. Looks like it could be taken any time tho...
 
Thanks. I am going to cut the first one this weekend, it seems to have hit that point where it can be at any time.
I do not see any amber just yet, but seems to be milky white.

Got 12g of the small one, still a bit green smelling n taste. Gotta refine my drying, think its too fast.. its curing in jar now..
Ok well about 8g of it thats left.

Second one is still going, im holding out cutting her, really want to let her finish filling in and get cloudy/amber.

Getting antsy now, have Wonder Woman from barneys, Sleestack x Skunk and royal queens Fruit Spirit ready to germinate...

Ready for known strains..

LOL nope, shes still fattening up and filling in. Can see it in the structure on the lower growth, top is getting there now.

Thinking this weekend tho, starting to look different now.

Yeah, I am trying to get a better feel of it in the late stages. Can only gather so much information via web, hands on is always the best way.
My Bruce Banner grow I took some tops down a bit early, and let the lower growth fill in, the smell and taste was definitely much better on the lower once cut.

I am transitioning my grow to another room. That one is in a walk in closet, i'm doing a grow room in my spare room. Just put 3 Northern Lights seeds in rapid rooter plugs this morning. SAM_1023.JPG

I feel ya, mine has a earthy, kinda sandlewood taste going on. Pretty potent, I think I coulda let it go another week as well, but I was concerned about having some smoke for the holidays, plus I just got new seeds I wanted to start. After drying, it weighed out to around 5 1/3 ozs., not great, but hey, it's better than trying to buy it, lol!WIN_20171201_09_50_19_Pro.jpg
 
Over 5z is pretty good I'd say, and you cant get a bud the size of your arm from a bag :-)

I am still unsure of why I get that smell, either in drying stage or curing or if it is just harvested a bit too early.
I know on my old hps setup I had it with my first one I cut, but the other 2 I let go a couple weeks and the smell taste was much better.

This was my first run with this setup to get a feel, have room to add another 300w light and going to do 4 plants this time.
