Week 7 of flower.

Each strain has it's own color:

Of all the plants I've flowered out in the past while this OG Kush has me most puzzled.

The pistols started turning red in the 4th week of flower and all are now red. As well the leaves turned purplish green and the backs of the leaves dark purple. The trichomes are still all clear.

OG Kush calls for an 8 week harvest but I can see this one going to 9 anyway.

Slurricane is fading to yellow and is very bushy, lots of trimming. Sweet berry smell.

Lemon Haze is going to have some great colas if it fills out in the next 3 weeks.

Slight citrus smell if the stem is rubbed.

Blue Dream in the front right. Very squat plant, sticky and smells of blueberries. I think that this will be another 10 week plant.

And always with me when I'm garden gazing, my Volcano ballon.

My 3x3 veg garden - front left Lemon Haze; rear left Slurracane, rear right OG Kush, front right Blue Dream. Getting ready for another flower run with a grow's knowledge under my belt.

Thanks to Lockedin for helping to sort my strains.

It's good to give them at least a week to get over transplant shock and start putting out new roots.

I'm not a camera affectionate but I tried to get as close to these colas as I could without going blurry.

The first is a cola from my Lemon Haze clone. The garden is at 60 days, by the sign of the white pistils I've got at least two weeks left before harvest.

I got it from a Canadian online clone provider called OnlineClones.CA

I lucked out and got no bugs and I think 3 keepers - Slurracane, Blue Dream and Lemon Haze. OG Kush is only putting out small flowers and it'll come out of rotation after my next grow.

Very inspiring grow, your defoliation is very informative. Do you keep removing leaves even after day 21 of flower?

Thanks for the share!

Hi Dilago!

I don't remove anymore leaves after the day 21 defoliation, they wouldn't grow back in time for flower.

But if the leaves grow back on, then what is the purpose?
.

The leaves grow back but grow back attached to a bud spot instead of a giant shade leaf at the nodes.

The new leaves don't shade the bud spots as much: more light more flower.

.

As well I need a defoliation at week 3 to put on a trellis net, after the 3 week stretch in flower is over.

I harvested the OG Kush tonight, the pistils have been red since week 5 and I just finished week 9 on an 8 week strain. Trichomes were 15% amber, the rest cloudy.

I didn't think that I was going to get much yield off this strain, the buds are rather small with small colas, but it came through with 747 grams wet trimmed.

747 g wet / 4,5 = 164 grams dry. In a week we'll see how close the dry estimate is.

Bud, trim and garbage. This strain had an unreal amount of trim loaded with trichs, gonna make some nice dry sift.

OG Kush is one of the first named strains of weed that ever passed my way and I remember how a hit of it would put me on the floor  Glad it's looking like it's going to produce more for you than you thought.

What do you do with your sift from the trim?
