4ft tall ceiling trouble!

Hello there I ran into a little problem, so doing a little research I've learned my 4x4x4 tent might be a little too small for my 600w mh/hps setup height wise. With about 2Ft to grow if I use 3 gallon smart pots, would 5-6 plants in individual scrog nets be using this space to its potential or could I do something else to maximize it?

I know the logical answer would be to just make the tent higher or go vertical but neither of those are an option because this is the only space I have to grow in, and vertical isn't for me(have to wear glasses over mine to work in tent).

Thanks for taking the time to read this, hope we can come with a solution!

Id read up on micro grows and micro growing techniques. Even though you arent in a tiny temt youll probably be able to steal some of their training methods.

really .......ok the answer is simple
change your light from HID to LED .... the trouble with the 600w hid is the heat it makes even with a cooltube u need strong venting just to keep a 10/12 degree diff of what the intake temp is to what the exhaust temp (u want to keep the temp under 80f unless u are co2 enriching then 85F)

so remove that it ....... i personally know nothing on the new cob led designs but the regular diode ones i know enough to help u
LED u can let the plant get with in touching the light if have too......aslong as the LED is not to heavy on UV and IR .......the cool thing about LED is the lens they use makes the power more directed so even if the leaf gets to close odds are the leaf will thicken up instead of bleaching

i have used both i have had bleaching on HIDs when the plant gets with in 6 inches ....LED nothing so far except on UV/10k mode had it advance yellowing the leaves faster vs flowering or veggie

You could use the dimlux expert 600w actually. It has a heat pipe outlet coming from between the ballast and is pretty compact. If you could fit a pipe from the outlet leading to outside the tent and an air intake from outside, I doubt you would have any problems, maybe just in the summer. Plus the Light has a boostable dimmer switch that can take it up to as high as 690w and it has 15% less power consumption.

I would try growing some clones in there and after rooting, switch straight to 12/12. Just make sure you don't choose a stretchy strain.

Don't take my word for this, I am pretty new at this too but it seems quite logical that this is a way it could work. Peace
