6 Week veg Master Kush+Blue Mystic 12/12 starts now

Whats going on everyone. I had a journal going for the veg process these guys went through but didn't get to much feedback in the journal section its very quite, so figured I try out these forums for when the girls start packing on the buds. This is my first grow and I can tell you right now it will not be my last. Im enjoying it way to much and Im not even finished. I owe these forums a lot when it comes to the amounts Iv read and learned so thanks everyone. This place has definitely helped keep my plants alive thats for sure.

Alright on to the plants. They are six weeks old and tonight will be the first 12 hour night. This past week a slow transition from 18/6 to 12/12 happened. I still have the 400 watt MH bulb in to control stretching, and they were fed they're normal dose of veg nutes two days ago. I plan on switching to the 400 watt HPS bulb in a week or two maybe?

Since this is my first grow I didn't want to do much in terms of pruning and removing foliage. Instead I topped at around 3-4 weeks and I did tons of bending and tucking and even wired up a little scrog. I know a lot can go wrong and they're are plenty of things to look out for when it comes to the budding process. I will continue to take pictures and upload everyday and hopefully the community here can throw out some criticism or ideas and help me bring these girls to a nice harvest. Thanks again and please feel free to ask anything a may have left out. Not sure if putting them in 3 days of darkness is wise? any other things I should do before 12/12 or just let it happen? Thanks

Well here they are 2 days into flower. I can see very tiny white hairs in some areas.

Tiny hairs, there are some other really skinny white ones on the master kush, but they are hard for my phone camera to get in focus.

When should I start using my flowering nutrients? I figure using the veg ones while they are stretching now is a good idea but does anyone else know?

I go one or two feedings with veg nutes right after flipping to 12/12.... so about a week or so. Then I flush... then bloom nutes... so by about 14-16 days after flipping to 12/12 they start feeding on the bloom nutes. The strains I've done so far have reacted well to that (NL5, White Russian, Blueberry), but those strains don't start to hair up until about 21 days or so. I think that might be the key...getting the bloom nutes going before they start to get hairy.

I went two days still using veg nutrients (just to finish off the batch) then went straight into flower nutes. Plants took to them immediately and started showing pistils after the first week. Edit: Photos entering second week of flower. Plants vegged for roughly 40 or so days.

Ok thanks, I was surprised to see thin white hairs so quickly, because I see some on the master and the blue seems very developed tomorrow I will feed flower nutes and see how it goes.

Amazing canopy, way to utilize that tent, thats kinda what I'm going for. What kind of pots did you use and how big is your tent?

Here are pictures taken yesterday at exactly 7 days of flower.

kind of getting tight, and dark underneath. I have a fan blasting all the branches so thats not a problem but if this is a week into flower this tent may not be big enough width wise

Well here they are 11 days into flower.

Blue Mystic. Couple shots of some tiny buds starting the two lower main stalks from the blue mystic are super thick and have grow very quickly with lots of bud forming all the way down. The blue mystic is really stretching when compared to the master kush. Besides the two main branches the rest are fairly whispy. Very wild plant but she looks like a good bud producer

The Masterkush has a few very nice lil buds going. This plant in my opinion is much easier to train and bend to do what you want which I like. The arms on this girl aren't as thick as some of the Blue mystics but the master is much stronger and seems like it can support some massive buds. Even though when compared to the younger blue mystic the buds right now all seem smaller.

Thanks for stopping by, will post more pics in a few days when some notable changes happen. I plan on feeding them tomorrow morning. The pot felt like it could still go another day without water this morning so pics will come in 2 or 3 days.

Should I switch to hps bulb sooner or later? I was thinking at 14 days, seems like thats what most people around here do.

Thanks man, looking forward to trying it out. Iv never heard of it before purchasing, heard alot of mixed things about it afterwards but the few grows I found on google all looked not to shabby.

Alright so I fed them and switched to the hps bulb an hour before they go into darkness for the night. Here are some pictures under a normal light bulb and some others with my phone flash and some inside with the hps bulb. Everything seems to be going fine so far but if anyone has any pointers or ideas Im all ears

Lookin good, lookin good! Gotta while to go but you gotta fill me in on the smells on those bad bitches around week 5-6. Im quite interested in the phenos they put out. Havnt seen any master kush before so please let me know how that goes. I believe they have the same purple father so if you let me fade we get some pretty colors

Thanks a lot man Gave them a watering. The blue mystic has more buds and has a heady smell to it. The Master Kush some days will smell skunky when you touch it but lately its been very subtle. I haven't had a filter attached this whole time and were over 2 weeks into flowering now. Ever since I moved the grow tent the temperatures are alot warmer . Im really hoping to get some purple in the master kush that would be nice.

Might wanna trim a few fan leaves off for better light penetration

Iv been plucking leaves that are yellow/yellowing, or wilted. But I wouldnt really know where to start when removing actual leaves. Would you remove the whole leave or just clip the ends?
