750w vs 1000w budget grow

Hello peeps,
I'll try to keep it short - I have the opportunity to start up a grow with a friend. We're on a budget, so I found someone who's getting rid of some equipment for a good price. They want $60 each for newish 750w lumatek ballasts with XXL hood. They have 6, so that would be $360 bucks. I have all other equipment needed, I'm just trying to come to this decision if I should do one run with 750w and upgrade to 1000w later. Or should I keep looking and pay for the 1000w setup.

New grower? Go with the 1kw ballast. It will be easier to find 1kw bulbs. Yield will come with experience.

No I've grown for a few years before, I know what not to do lol. I just never grew with 750's nor have I seen anyone use them so I don't exactly know what to expect.
- Are the 750 bulbs hard to come by? If I could find a killer deal on 1000's right away I would. I appreciate your input, thanks

Honestly I've never used 750's. I have never even seen them in store ect so its possibly old and you dont want old bulbs. Just go with 1kw if you can cool the room.

I'm talking about 750w ballast, and hood, no bulbs. I'll have to buy the bulbs

Yeah i just looked the bulbs up. That seems like a steal to get those hoods and ballast for 60$ a piece. I have never used 750's before so i cant speak for it but it is a budget grow right? So you dont need to go maximizing everything.

Why is this posted in cfl/flouro sub-forum though?
It's up to you if you want to buy the 750's and upgrade later. Doesn't really make much of a difference except for yield and footprint power.
