learn the weight of your pots and youll be able to tell when they need watering. When the soil dries up, the top layer will get dusty and ugly, but that dont mean its not moist as hell underneath it. Do-It-Center has moisture meters for like 7 bucks. I use mine as a good judgement

Wellll, they're looking better. Its probably going to take a little bit of time to get them to outgrow the ugly curly leaves but I see new growth so thats good!

I'll take pics in a little bit after i smoke a few.

I know how to read my girls by using the "pick up" trick I just never felt like picking up all 12 so I watered when the top soil was bone ass dry.. looks like im gonna have to stop being lazy.

as promised...

best looking girl, in my opinion..

Quick LST job. I have high hopes for my LST'd girls.

Very sick girl. Looking better at least.

I'm not sure how I pulled off this shit with my dinky camera so I thought it was worth posting.. another LST job.

they are perking right back up i see!
Yup, nice nice. It takes them some time to get over "overwatering" so now we know not to do that again. And I would stop with the spraying the leaves from here out. Their roots will do their job.

Weighing the pots when they are bone dry is your best bet. If you now have an empty pot (a spare) fill it with soil and see what it weighs. When your pots get to that weight, water them again.

I've found that when I did soil it got easier when they got bigger as they drank more water and dried out the soil about every other day.

I LST'd one more. She was the "super sick" looking one and she didnt like the LST to much but I figured id rather LST now so I guess its more of HST.

She didnt take it badly but she just didnt look the greatest to begin with. I'm sure she'll be fine soon and hopefully they start growing like wildfire soon.

Seeds? No, no seeds. They were cuttings.

TMV is
Tobacco mosaic virus

Rumor has it that there is a wide-spread of TMV going that is disrupting the MMJ community, particular in "OG" cuttings. Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) is a virus that affects the plants.

Supposedly its impossible to get rid of and spreads to anything in the garden.

I've been reading up on it on ICmag, supposedly a couple people have it and one guy claims to have had it for 20 years. He said if the plants have it and they're grown under good conditions with "no stress" they will grow fine and vigorous as well as yield well.

But a lot of the plants I've seen with, but not only, sytomps of TMV, half the leaf turns yellow. mine aren't doing that.

a little bit ago

Grow hydro next time brotha...soil's a PITA in my opinion. It doesn't look like they have "TMV" as I just did a little research and found some info. They still just look overwatered to me, still droopin. It can take them awhile to bounce back from that.

I thought you grew those from seeds, holy crap, we started at nearly the same time both with cuttings?

Did you get them @ CEO?

No I got them from a friend. They weren't established in the medium so it took over a week to start growing :/

anyways, hopefully they bounce back up shortly.

i think soil is easier than hydro ... no special ferts or meters , plenty of time to fix problems hydro can die overnight if a pump dies:(

Agreed with Wink.. with soil you just sit back and watch them grow, maybe water every once in awhile too :D

.... but not really, apparently lol.

yeah nobody tells you to just leave them alone when i first started indoor growing i watered a lil every day my plants went nowhere in two monthe i started letting the soil dryup and they went crazy its like they never get air to the roots if you dont let them dryup .. then only the roots on top get fat because they are the only ones that get air so the main roots just kinda sit chillin in the wet stuff:( now my root system is so hearty i can easily pick up the pot/plant by the stalk even when wet . and when they get that big you do have to water once a day so you get to play with them mORE
