Advice?

hey guys

room is starting to come together for my grow. the kiddies will be transplanted sometime this coming week.

will get a 400w hps light for flowering, plants are ak-48 all feminized from nirvana shop, the plants will be surrounded by white insulation as you can see.

how does this look? any advice? questions comments concerns?

only advice id give is once you have your 400 watt up, let them fluorescents stay on around the sides and you will have some meat at the bottom. just tried it last grow, worked pretty well having them on the walls,

don't forget a fan how big are you going with these babies? very good pick with the strain

ha yes naturally a fan, its in there just not in the picture! i dont know how big ill go yet. ill see how big they are after 3 weeks vegging, i think ill veg them until around december 15ish then start to flower

well at least its a strain that does not stretch so u wont have any problems at all. im dealing with a super silver haze. HOLY STRETCH! anyway good luck man. hope all works out well

My White Russian same thing... Holy Shit I let these bad bitches veg for close to 9 weeks and now they are in week 3 of flower and taking up all the space!

another amazing strain!! yea 9 week veg...your gonna have some monsters. mostly indica but a sativa stone. totally awesome. 22%thc. im jealous. haha

cool man ak48, you will get a good return with a 400 watt, you got a dual spec bulb?

Check out Weedler's thread in DWC/Bubbleponics he is in flower with the same strain and light that you will be using.

Hmmmm polystyrene walls........ watch that 400W melt em..... seen several growroom burnt to ground along with house (nieghbour) after that stuff fell on top of reflectors.

hillcrest, it will be carefully watched over but by the veg stage hopefully the light is up high enough, the insulation is only 4 ft high

when should i start to put the kids in the hydro system and run it with just distilled water? or will that over water it for now?

also what is the best/cheapest 400w light for these? and if i got it should it be run before the entire time or just for flowering?

Check out HTGsupply.com for lights. Great prices on digital. I have a lot of them. Never any problems. One caveat: opt for the better bulbs. The standards are shit.
Nine week veg in buckets under a 400w? BAD idea. Buckets veg at hyperspeed, they'll be about 3.5 feet tall and a stretchy mess at the flip. Three weeks later, 5.5 feet tall at the least. A 400w light will penetrate about 1.5-2 feet into the canopy. Even if you use the fleuros for side lighting, your chances of a shitload of giant buds are slim at best.
Investigate SCROG. A screen about 12-18 inches above the buckets will do the trick. The 400w will cover about 3x3 well. Use the fleuros around the edges to increase the grow to 4.5x4.5 and you may wind up with the shitload come harvest day. Plus you'll probably only need 3-4 weeks of veg.
Sorry to rain on the parade, but proper planning now will save you a lot of headaches later. A 4.5x4.5 scrog with that strain should be killer.

i go 12-12 from seed now and you can still pull 7-12 wet per plant under a 400 watt dual , wouldnt waste electric on veg...........

so im going to buy this lamp but im wondering if i should add anything to the options?

That's a good light. I have a bunch of em. Opt for the Agromax bulbs, well worth the price. The larger air cooled hood is also a good piece, although I've switched to the 8" cooltube and gone vert.
HTG customer service can't be beat.

try a dual spec hps, good for veg and flower.......
