“Free trade” is creating a Chinese superpower rival. At the same time, terribly weakening America.
“Free trade” is very simply, a small number of people profiting from damaging their own nation. For money.

I agree with Massah in the fact that this just did not happen yesterday. Here in Maine, the factory count has dwindled to the amount that one could prolly count them using both your hands and feet. They used to number in the 100's easily, and gave everyone who wanted, a chance at employment (and make a fairly decent wage).

But we still sign all of these Fair Trade Agreements, and that number will continue to dwindle. Just recently here in Maine, we have New Balance Footwear factories (4) of them ... Well I guess now they will have even more pressure as the US just signed on VietNam with a Free Trade Zone, and thus has put more pressure on New Balance. It will be hard to sustain the factory if VietNam starts flooding the overstocked sneaker/footwear market with a cheaper price of good.

It is a vicious cycle that began long ago. The question remains; "When are we going to learn from our mistakes?"

Heres where the fireworks start.
I blame the 541 members of congress over the past 30 years or more for signing laws and using our tax dollars to enable corps to move out of the USA. Sure corps and banks are to blame as well however they could not have destroyed the country if the politicians had not signed off on it.

Thats where the change needs to be made. They all need to be thrown out along with most of the "agencies" and most of the burearacracy.

Don't forget all those members of congress who position their investments based on the laws they write

And while you are at, why not get rid of the hundreds of Lobbyists that in one way or another ... design all of these Acts and Laws that are on the books.

After all of the dust that we have started settles ... Who would be left in Washington DC ??

Yep... a 45% capital gains rate and some of the most overreaching legislation is creating the problem. Free trade is fine if it is on a level playing field. It promotes competition.

However, with China subsidizing it's products to allow them to be sold more inexpensively here it causes the playing field not to be nearly as fair.

However, putting tariffs on imported products is simply raising taxes on the American people yet again. That doesnt solve the problem either.

they are all criminals. i cant see any diff between the parties. they either are womanizers or profiting from the fall of the united states. or most prolly both. how do u vote? choose the best of the evils? they dont care about this country, just how much money they can put in their pocketrs and how many women they can fuck or at the very least get a blow job. i just wish instead of voting we could have a turkey shoot. last 1 standing picks a prez from the crowd. how could we do worse by voting.

Bad spelling aside, he's not far off. We have the deplorable Apollo organization writing both the Stimulus Bill and the Cap N Trade Bill. I wouldn't trust those subversive ultra-left wing scumbags to write my cellular contract, let alone massive legislation that wastes hundreds of billions of dollars and attempts to cripple our energy production. Then the politicians openly admit they don't read the fucking things before they vote on them? This is no way to run a system of government, everyone on both sides of the aisle should be outraged.
