AR-15 Fake News by Uncle Ted

Surely you agree that the Las Vegas shooter could not have pulled off what he did with shotguns? I dont understand how the speed of an AR can make it less effective at close range - isnt it rather the spread of a shotgun blast and higher caliber that makes it more deadly close range? Even if a shotgun can range as far as 100 yards an AR is 6 times that. And you got one clip of 100 bullets as opposed to multiple shells to carry. Lightweight, accurate and deadly quick. I think the AR is being chosen by a precedent of past mass shootings proving it's the best choice for mass casualties in the quickest time. You know, before the cops show up.
I'm just saying the ar is not the best option out there and I don't know why people are choosing it. Mainly the hype. In almost everyone of these mass shootings a different choice of gun would've led to more people killed.

I don't mean the speed of how fast it can shoot. I mean the speed of the actual round itself. With an ar shot placement is critical.

Just before some people mistakenly associate this statement with AR-15 thus continuing the AR-15 hype. The weapon used at that shooting was military grade M240 US designation for FN MAG (French general purpose machine gun). Yes he owns an AR 'among' other platform plus this

"The high-powered weapons also included a .308-caliber AR-10 rifle and an AK-47-type rifle — as well as four Daniel Defense DDM4 rifles, three FN-15s and other rifles made by Sig Sauer, according to reports."

What I don't get though are the news network that went out their way to glorify or demonize AR-15. Reason why I don't pay attention anymore to news media....all of them left or right are more into sensationalism rather than factual reporting.

I bet the news media contribute more to the popularity/infamy of the AR-15 to the mind of people unfamiliar with weapons rather than the actual effectiveness of AR-15.

I just read through the wiki page on the Las Vegas shooting. There is no mention of Paddock having a M240 machine gun at all. Googling it, all that comes up is conspiracy theories that he had a M240 belt fed supposedly evidenced by the audio from the videos taken during the shooting. Sounds like more fake news! I'm sure it was a top story on Infowars...
In fact, he had (14!) .223 AR-15's, all with bump stocks. Along with (7) .308 AR-10's and other smaller guns. He used bipods, high tech telescopes & 75 to 100 cartridge high capacity magazines. No history of mental illness or red flags... no criminal history other than traffic citations. No real motive proven. Crazy shit. One thing on the wiki page I didn't recall hearing about - computer forensics found 100's of images of child porn on one of the laptops in his room. Sick fucking bastard.

I want to thank Ted Nugent for pointing out that whatever gun control legislation the alliance between responsible gun owners and non-gun owners finally get in place should include restrictions on certain shotguns along with semi-automatic rifles and hand guns.

59 dead. 851 injured.
Tell me you can do that with as many shotguns...
I shouldn't/can't LOL this. But, really, Ted Nugent really seemed intent on showing how stupid people are for wanting restrictions on the AR-15 style of weapons by showing us how deadly shotguns are. As if his argument in any way, shape or form disproved what we have seen video footage of what has been done with the AR-15.

(voice from video: AR-15 aint sheeeeet. They ah nothin compared to the super deee duper peeenis surrogate I'm fondling rat now. blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam!!!! See theyya, I could have taken out 300 people just like that with this beautiful killing machine-shotgun with the hand carved walnut stock. It could be yours for a mere $1,500. But that's not all, a signed autographed picture of me, Ted Nugent will be sent if you act now and call, 666-666-FKYU)

Here you decide if its AR-15
, I'm just pointing out that AR-15 couldn't have done it. I've been around m16 (fully auto) for a long time (like you can tell the difference between an AR and AK discharged, I can tell from the discharged that its nowhere the same as AR-15.

"The AR-15 rifles were fitted with vertical forward grips and bump fire stocks,[1][110] the latter of which allowed for recoil to actuate their triggers at a rate of 90 rounds in 10 seconds.[113]"
Hm, that's 9 rds/sec, comparable to the 10 rds/sec in the video of the M240. Basically fully auto with the bump stocks. So are you basing your proof on the sound alone then? Have you heard a M240 shot from a the 32nd floor of a hotel recorded by a cell phone on the street below? Do you believe there's a vast conspiracy involving the LV police, local government, entire national media, wikipedia, google, etc. to cover-up the actual gun used and pin the blame on the AR-15 so they can ban it? Am I asking too many questions? Are they listening now? aaah
