I emailed a51. Told him what's going on. He said either his replies ended up in your spam folders. Or the way any of you may have worded your emails might have caused them to go to his spam folder. He checked to see if he had any missed emails in the last month and he didn't have any. I don't think he checks his spam because he gets so bombarded with spam emails from so many companies..

try again. He got back to me in 1 day. So...

I was thinking about getting a new LED from these guys but not so much now if you can't get ahold of them. Anybody have experience with the new Dutch Passion LED? I'm getting a new one, I just need to decide from where now. I'm not big on poor customer service. I kind of felt gipped on my BlackStar 270 Chrome because when I got it the case was dented slightly. I called the seller and he said that was just cosmetic and didn't want to do anything about it. The light works great but I suspect it was a used light and would have rather had a replacement. Shit like that makes me want to stick with Amazon because at least then you'll be treated fairly.

This is the one thing I love about this site is everyone is so helpful.. Bad, hyroot and others - I appreciate it!! As far as the emails, we have all exchanged a few emails with Jeff and Area 51 so we know they have gone back and forth in the past... why they aren't now is a mystery. His very first email went to my spam folder, I accepted it as good and the rest came through fine.... He responded promptly to my first 3-4 emails so I doubt they are going to spam now. I think I have to agree with Easy... if it is this difficult trying to BUY lights from Area 51 I cannot imagine how hard it will be to get them to honor any warranty.

I wouldnt be worry about him not honouring the warranty, his business is thriving! Anyway it's been well over a year here I lost track of time and not a single problem with the lights I got from Jeff.

Bad, I had a break in and I'm trying to replenish my stolen lights... I need to switch to flower soon or I'm going to have problems :(
Uhhhh..... Please don't take this the wrong way and not trying to sound all parental. But, if your place got broken into and lights stolen I sure hope you moved everything to another location. Seriously. Moving the grow should be your primary concern because they know what those lights are most likely for if they somehow didn't see plants. If they did they will be back and clean your harvest out along with your new lights most likely. Then you're double screwed. And don't think it can't or won't happen because it very easily can all they have to do is watch and wait. Can't stay there forever. You had a major security breach and that should be your utmost concern, not new lights at this time.... IDK That's my .02.


My a51 sgs 160 just showed up today. 2 days earlier than expected.
My 190 showed Wednesday, also two days early. Fired it up and this thing looks promising. I like the white light compared to the solarstorms and lumigrow red/blues. This light looks like it has much better penetration, though that's probably just due to the difference in spectrum. Couldn't confirm that without a good meter and PAR measurements.

You want to sell that new 190!!??

I just ordered an XGS-190 myself.
Healenz, seriously, just register on their site and your communication issues should be over.
I did, they responded (in less then 2 days), and here I am with my XGS ordered :D

i bought a 190 in december, great communications and blown away by the quality of the light- just my 2 cents.
currently putting up against a 600 watt conversion bulb to see how they compare

I swear if this dude gets back to me I'm going to buy 9 lights and do a journal with 24 lemon OG that is going to blow these boards away! ok... I just left Cobras downtown and I'm fucked up but I'll still do it!! LOL

I registered 3 or 4 days ago and got an immediate email. I then ordered a day later and got an email confirming that as well.

I have a 10 x 10 room. I have emailed Jeff from Area 51 back and forth several times before Christmas - spam is not the issue. I'm starting to wonder if he doesn't want to give me the volume discount due to his limited stock and all the other people buying 1 and 2 lights at full price.

Interesting thought, but he's a pretty straight up guy. I think it's just a weird communication problem.

How many and what size hps would you run in there if that were the case?

I would run 6 1000w raptors in the 10x10. Was going to try to get away with 9 Area 51s. And Greengenes, Jeff did sound like a good guy when I spoke with him on the phone... I don't want to trash the guy or his company - I just wan to buy some lights :(
