Just my 2 cents here....if your not legal to grow then you probably shouldn't be posting that. Info on a public forum......it would be kinda shitty if you fucked around and told on yourself...
Man,later for that noise!!! No disrespect, but I live in a non legal state and I've gone hard in the paint for the last 5 years, all while on fed papers!!! FTP!!!

The "don't do it" disclaimer isn't anyone trying to shit on your grow - it's a reminder that YOU are the one making the decisions here.
Kind of a "in case you didn't know" - because some don't :eyesmoke:

Many make that choice - in theory we're all big boys & girls here with our own pants & panties (you decide which you wear...).
You'll find the "Don't do it" disclaimer" in most threads with illegal grows - we should all consider the pros / cons (and becoming a con is a con).

Again, not shitting on you at all, just relaying a common experience among some of us more "seasoned" members in hopes that you will make better thought out choices than some of us did. :bigjoint:

Happy (careful) growing.

can you elaborate more on the medium differential and why they don’t work? Don’t they sell a cultivation nation I believe? And it’s 70/30.not saying dirt is not the truth but maybe things are advancing? With the times I mean. I’m experimenting with different mixes and will let you know my results. Your right though , I started over and my straight coco is doing great now, had a little hiccup but all’s good now. Please any and all feedback is much obliged
Im not sure where the hell people are getting these dumb ass ideas(probably Youtube). Yeah, there will be a few lucky people that make it work decent, but the 2 mediums are on very different ends of the spectrum in terms or water and nutrient feeds that it just can't be made to work.

What light you using???
I got a Mars hydro 1000 watt and a 1000 watt bestva and an Agromax 65 the one with 4000 kelvin. Right now I got the Mars on the sweet tooth auto and the bestva on veg on the seedlings. I got geranimals,LSD,mimosa evo, white lavender, amnesia lemon lush, diesel Daze. Oh and cause once again this auto gave me some problems I dropped a zkittlez OG and GSC auto real quick to follow this one.

Yeah I used straight coco this time because the last grow I tried was a disaster when I mixed the two mediums. Now I know they sell a 70/30 cultivation nation and it works for some? I’m sticking to one or the other

Home depot lights are shit ... if you have HPS still - autos will be way better.
I’m starting to see that. Since that last post I’ve been busy! I got a Mars hydro1000 watt,a 1000 watt bestva and an Agromax 65, I started another Barney’s farm sweet tooth auto and used straight coco. I now know you have to buffer your coco before use and that autos are REAL sensitive and You are right about the HPS being better. I’m not saying LEDs are trash, but you pay for what you get so unless you got a decent amount of money to buy a good LED the money you will save on the electric bill is not significantly enough for me. All the experimenting I’m doing is setting up the blueprint for a bigger goal. I’m just old school and wanted to see what the hype is about.

Man, we'd love to help but your medium choice makes it like Russian roulette....
Most advice seems to have a grower pushing the rope and frustration is the primary result.
Choose one medium so your baseline is known....something simple...20 years ago we just used dirt, then along came jones......
You're in an auto lovin' community so some of us will help with ya smoke......
Now I see what you mean! I took your advice and went with straight coco, found out the hard way about buffering. SMH so I buffered with cal/mag. I got me a Mars hydro1000 watt and a bestva 1000 watt on it now. I had a little issue that resulted in a stunted moment due to salt build up. Once I flushed she came right back. I also am messing with great white mychro to add some life, I also got terminator, and tiger bloom and open sesame for flowering. Is there any thing wrong with what I’m doing? Please let me know? And thank you for the advice.

Dude sorry for this response, for what it’s worth I was having a bad day and smart ass remarks is not my style so I apologize. I understand that you were giving sound, solid advice. I should of explained a little more. This is only a one plant operation and I’m experimenting with autos,Led and new products. It’s messed up in the state I’m in cause I’m legal and have my card(which doesn’t allow me to grow???) so it’s tricky. I didn’t feel like typing all that cause like I said I just did ten years so my typing game is on dubs.

A coco user can help you with all that. I've always grown in more forgiving mediums like biobizz light mix and promix...
Of course, I only grow for quality whereas seems coco is used more for yeilds but along with that comes a lot of work...imo....
I too use a mh ts1000 (along with 3 cobs) and happy with results. Produces some thick nuggs when kept close...

I meant no implication of newb status for ya in my reply, haha, but I still kinda am. Started last year and had 3 good harvests- appreciate this forum greatly! Seems someone always some good info anytime.
I like doing mixture of out and in, mostly just for energy savings. Just converted an old hot tub into a little drop-in garden. Just some old safety glass to cover but let light through, then 40 bucks for 25ft. of mylar (goodprice/badprice?- dunno...) and some lights held by rods across the tub top but under the glass, and a couple wiring tweaks and I have easy convertible indoor to outdoor/mixed light...
Sorry to brag just stoked and I hope you can get creative with your op. Good luck!

I don’t mean to sound dumb what are cobs? And I’m sorry about the lack of knowledge about LEDs I’m an old school guy so all this is like an experiment, I never used LEDs or coco before.
